The Pussycat Dolls Found Out Their Reunion Tour Was Canceled When Nicole Scherzinger Posted The Announcement On Instagram

After more than a decade since their last tour, The Pussycat Dolls are back to take the on the world, one crotch thrust at a time! Wait, we’ve just received news that the tour is canceled via Nicole Scherzinger’s Instagram account. If you think that’s a pretty lame way to find out a major (?) event has been canceled, imagine how the rest of the Pussycat Dolls must feel! Yep, they found on through Nicole’s post, too. It’s one thing to learn you’ve been fired but via social media is the ultimate insult.

After sharing a stage where they danced and rubbed up on some innocent chairs during X-Factor: Celebrity in 2019, the team of renowned hairographers announced a reunion tour that was expected to start later that year. That never happened. And with an ongoing legal dispute between Nicole and PCD founder Robin Antin regarding Nicole’s alleged demand for 75% of the profits, it’s not a huge surprise that this tour would never see the light of day. Unless you’re other members of Pussycat Dolls. Via People:

Nicole Scherzinger apparently forgot to notify her fellow Pussycat Dolls that their long-awaited reunion tour has been cancelled.

The Grammy Award nominee, 43, announced the tour’s cancellation Friday on her Instagram Story, citing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the recent surge in the Omicron variant.

“Thank you to everyone who had tickets to see PCD — we are so appreciative of your support and loyalty!” she wrote. “With the ever evolving circumstances surrounding the pandemic, I understand the decision that the tour dates had to be cancelled.

“I have invested a huge amount of time, creative energy and my own finances into bringing this project back to life, and while I’m naturally incredibly saddened by this decision, I am also very proud of what we were able to achieve in the short amount of time we had together before COVID.”

“I can’t put into words the amount of love, admiration and gratitude I have for the other girls in the group, and the fans that have supported us. Stay safe and healthy – Love and blessings,” Scherzinger concluded.

Nicole didn’t even have the decency to make this announcement a permanent post on Instagram and instead put it up as an IG Story.

I guess she was hoping her fellow members weren’t on social media for 24 hours. Kidding! She doesn’t even know she has “fellow members!” But at least two other dolls were online at the time to receive their pink slip.

However, her fellow group members Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar claimed they weren’t officially informed of the cancellation until the rest of the world was, releasing a joint statement on social media. They also posted a photo of the two of them, which Sutta, 39, captioned, “True sisterhood.”

Not to be left out, Robin also released a statement. Brace yourselves, because your eyes may not be able to withstand the choice in color. Her passion clearly is not graphic design.

Melody Thorton must be cackling gleefully at home. Looks like her prediction that a reunion would be a “nightmare” is coming true!
