Dr. Dre Agrees To Pay Nicole Young $100 Million In Their Divorce Settlement

Dr. Dre and Nicole Young have been fighting over his reported $800 million fortune, but they have finally come to an agreement and their divorce settlement has been finalized.  And Nicole’s not getting $2 million a month in spousal support as she wanted, but she is walking away with a whopping $100 million–which is sort of like getting $2 million a month for four years, so that’s a win in my book.

Last year, 51-year-old Nicole Young filed for divorce from 56-year-old Dre after 24 years of marriage. The couple had a prenup that Nicole claimed he tore up in a romantic gesture and so she wanted the court to void it. But Dre wanted the court to uphold it. It got uglier. Nicole said that Dre abused her for years, she tried to call his side pieces to testify, and she served him legal papers as he visited his grandmother’s gravesite. Dre even suffered an aneurysm during their messy divorce battle. But that’s over now, as TMZ says they settled to the sound of nine figures. They were already legally separated before hashing out a divorce settlement. Dre’s lawyer is Laura Wasser and TMZ says that’s how she likes to do things.

Apparently, Dre is “delighted” by this settlement, which includes him paying Nicole $50 million now, and another $50 million in a year. Dre gets to keep all of their homes and the rights to his masters, while she’ll also get 4 cars and the jewelry she got while they were married. But Nicole can no longer ask for monthly spousal support.

In exchange, Dre gets to keep 7 of the properties they own, including a Malibu home, 2 homes in Calabasas, and 4 properties in the L.A. area, including the $100 million Brentwood estate.

In addition, Dre gets full rights to his master recordings, trademarks and interests in various partnerships and trusts. He also keeps all of their Apple stocks, which includes the proceeds from the sale of Beats by Dre.

They divide a fleet of vehicles–he gets 6 and she gets 4.

She gets to keep jewelry, cash and bank accounts that she had maintained during the marriage. Nicole must pay her own legal fees … which amount to millions of dollars.

Sources connected to Dre say Nicole could have actually gotten a bigger piece of the pie had she settled a year ago. One of those sources said, “She could have even been on the field for the Super Bowl halftime show as a friendly ex-wife.”

There are also some storage lockers filled with items from their various homes. Dre had put the items in storage, and according to the settlement she gets to keep all the stuff inside that was hers.

Can’t wait for Dre’s next song She Didn’t Get Half. Time for Dr. Dre to go out and buy himself another set of festive helium balloons to celebrate. These once will read “Still Rich AF.”
