Jeff Lewis Caught COVID-19 At A Superspreader Holiday Party And He Has No Regrets About It

Flipping Out‘s Jeff Lewis has no regrets after he hosted a 30-person holiday party where many people caught COVID-19. But this is a man who got his daughter kicked out of pre-school because he couldn’t stop talking shit, so clearly, he’s great at making decisions. And throwing a party in Los Angeles as Omicron rises is a decision Jeff doesn’t regret because he says that party was so good it was “almost worth dying for.

People says that on Jeff’s SiriusXM show, Jeff Lewis Live, he admitted that on December 21, he threw a party for 30 of his employees and friends. The party was held at the Los Angeles home of Lea Black, who used to be on Real Housewives of Miami. Not only did Jeff catch COVID-19, but so did his radio co-host, Megan Weaver, his assistant Shane Douglas, actress Monika Casey, his sometimes boyfriend Scott Anderson, and party guest Mercedeh “MJ” Javid Feight from Shahs of Sunset. And Jeff feels really bad about this and wishes that he had made better choices and avoided a large gathering in a swelling pandemic. PSYCHE! He doesn’t give a shit! As Jeff puts it: “I don’t regret [it], by the way… That was an epic party. It was so worth almost dying for!”

But Jeff claims he tried to be careful. For the party, he hired a nurse to test his party guests, who he says are all vaccinated, before they came inside. But Jeff and others got COVID and MJ found a doctor to treat him. Jeff’s 5-year-old daughter Monroe is currently with his ex-partner Gage Edward because his nannies and housekeepers got COVID too.

“MJ found a doctor… he saved our lives. He brought monoclonal antibody therapy,” Lewis said. “I thought he was a miracle worker. He said this is saved for the most extreme cases, like you have to be hospitalized, but I frankly didn’t want to be hospitalized–I wanted to get it before then. So I decided to go ahead and do it, before I was hospitalized… I would say I felt better within 12 hours,” he continued. “I still have the diarrhea, and I still have the cough and I still have the chills but at least I don’t have the fever anymore.”

Until he’s on the other side of it, Lewis said he’s going to continue distancing from his 5-year-old daughter Monroe, who has been staying with her other father Gage Edward in the meantime.

“I don’t want her to get sick and I also don’t want to take care of her because I don’t have any nannies,” Lewis joked, explaining that a few of his housecleaners and nannies who work for him had also contracted COVID. “I’m down to two and if anything happens to those two, I’m not going to be able to feed myself I don’t know who is going to be able to take care of me!”

Here’s the Sirius episode if you wanna listen:

Siri, show me the definition of a selfish idiot. Those poor nannies and housekeepers. Earlier this year, Jeff said that his former housekeeper and the real star of Flipping Out, national treasure Zoila Chavez, was working for him again as his daughter’s Friday and Saturday nanny. We don’t know if Zoila is one of the nannies who got COVID, but we’ll know if she was if Jeff Lewis gets struck by a lightning bolt thrown at him by God.
