Chris Pratt Made Another Social Media Tribute To His Wife, But Kept It Normal This Time

The last time Chris Pratt decided to celebrate his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, on social media, it backfired on him explosively hard, like a Christian rock band plugging an amp into a church meeting hall’s low-voltage power outlet. Last month, Chris posted a picture of them, and waxed poetic about how important it was to get you a wife who looked at you like you were a delicious footlong assorted sub, and thanked her for birthing him a “healthy” baby girl. The post was criticized for being many things, among them being a slap in the face to his ex-wife Anna Faris, who gave birth to his premature son. Chris clearly learned his lesson from that experience, because it was Katherine’s birthday this week, and Chris didn’t make the same mistake twice.

Chris honored his wife apropos of nothing last month, which – in retrospect – was dumb as hell. Because all it brought him was a world of bad vibes (to be fair, as the current reigning Worst Chris, he’s probably at least a little used to it). But yesterday it was Katherine’s 32nd birthday, and in the world of famous people, you can’t let a spouse’s birthday pass by without recognition, otherwise, you’re looking at two weeks of headlines that read: “Happy Birthday to…who? Silence on cake day as sources say the couple is headed towards divorce.” So Chris wished his wife of two years, and the mother of his 1-year-old daughter Lyla, a very happy and very normal birthday.

Chris points out Katherine’s accomplishments during her 32 years on this earth, which according to Chris include being a great wife, mother, partner, and a step-mom, a note of distinction, considering he kind of erased that part of the story in his first post. He also explains that Katherine is tough, beautiful, “extraordinarily smart” and “deeply thoughtful.” All nice ways to describe a person. Of course, Chris wasn’t fully able to keep the conversation completely on his wife. He did need to point out how instrumental Katherine has been to his “growth” over the past few years, and that their union is a reminder that God is up there, happily peeping on their marriage, making sure everything is a-ok for the Schwarzenegger-Pratts.

So a big congratulations go out to Chris Pratt, who managed to wish his wife a very happy birthday without it sounding like a prerecorded message written by an AI programmed to sound like a likable youth pastor!
