Kim Kardashian, Who Finally Passed The Baby Bar Exam, Wants To Be Legally Declared “Single”
Well, Christmas has clearly come early at Kim Kardashian’s austere museum of sterile wealth. Kim is one step closer to making her Ally McBeal dreams come true. After numerous failed attempts, she has finally passed California’s baby bar exam. This means that there’s an ever-growing chance she could be known as Kim Kardashian, Esq. But there’s one thing she really wants to be known as right this very minute, and that’s “legally single.” Kim is currently in the process of getting divorced from Kanye West, but she recently made moves to request that the state of California recognize her as definitely not with Kanye.
It’s been about ten months since Kim Kardashian filed papers to divorce Kanye West after six sometimes-messy years of marriage. They’re both so rich and have so many assistants and employees, I thought they’d be able to knock out a divorce quicker than it takes for Kanye to put Kim in something busted looking. But it’s taking a while, probably because they are so rich. In any event, Kanye continues to live on the Isle of Delusion, where he seems to believe it’s only a matter of time before his legally wedded wife comes running back into his arms and admits she made a terrible mistake ten months ago. Someone better send Kanye a message in a bottle that reads MOVE ON in thick red letters, because Kim isn’t waiting until that divorce officially clears to start telling people she’s no longer married. via TMZ:
Kim filed legal docs Friday…which if signed off by a judge, will make her officially single. She’s essentially asking the judge to separate issues of child custody and property from marital status. Kim is also asking that her maiden name be restored…aka, drop the “West.”
So, farewell Kim Kardashian West, we hardly knew ye. Ye? Oh crap, you just can’t get rid of him! But this all makes sense when you remember that back in the summer, a whole lot of makeup from Kim’s KKW Beauty line was being cleared out, amid rumors that Kim was planning to rebrand her cosmetics company. Around the time of the sale, TMZ noticed that Kim had started picking up social media handles and websites related to the word SKKN, which might be the new name for KKW Beauty.
The move to be defined as legally single is really just so two people going through a divorce can move on with their lives, while they take their time dividing up property or figuring out child custody. And with that out of the way, Kim really can move on with her life, which I guess is an ambiguously talented reality TV star-turned-attorney. Kim made the big announcement on Instagram, where she declared that she passed the baby bar on her 4th try.
Kim says she’s got one more bar exam to pass before she can legally be called a lawyer. We don’t know when that will be, but who knows? Maybe it will happen soon-ish. And then she can represent herself when she issues Kanye West a cease-and-desist from trying to woo her back. “Kanye, my client – me – needs you to stop coming across as so weird and desperate. Weird is one thing, but when you add desperate onto it, well…it’s just not the vibe I want in an ex-husband.”
