Dr. Dre And Nicole Young’s Never-Ending Divorce Is Coming To An End As Dre Throws Himself A Divorced AF Party

After divorce proceedings that seem to have lasted as their long 24-year marriage, it looks like Dr. Dre and Nicole Young are on the cusp of being free at last. And it only took a $1 billion legal battle to get it done! Dre and Young filed for divorce last June and have gone through round after round of mistress allegations, prenup messiness, and marital diss tracks like only Dre could serve. This has been going on so long that I’ve filed for divorce from news of their separation (I’m citing irreconcilable differences, in case you were wondering)!

To celebrate the launch of his single life, Dr. Dre shared an understated photo on social media. See if you can spot the subtle message he’s sending:

Nothing says “I’m over it” like silver-gold balloons that spell out “DIVORCED AF.” Dr. Dre reportedly pays Nicole $293,306 a month in spousal support and allegedly still owes her over $1 million in legal fees. A fact she made sure he knew when she served him papers at his grandmother’s funeral. This is an example of the phrase “money doesn’t buy you class” in action. TMZ shared details on the final settlement of their divorce:

Dr. Dre and Nicole Young have reached an agreement in principle to finally put their divorce to bed … TMZ has learned.

The two had been at war over money for well over a year, Nicole wanted $2 million a month in temporary spousal support, and Dre ended up ponying a one-time check for $2 mil and $500k in attorney fees. A photo showing the producer and businessman with balloons that read “Divorced AF” started to make rounds on social media Friday.

Dre feels like this could be the end to one of the nastiest divorces in Hollywood history …

Recently, Nicole was seeking $2 million a month for spousal support (have to pay that $20,000 a month cell phone bill somehow), so a one-time check of $2 million is a pretty steep drop for Dre’s soon-to-be ex-wife. And how will she feed her lawyers with only $500,000?! That funeral stunt may have backfired if this is to be believed. But before you breathe a sigh of relief thinking that our long national nightmare is over, some are saying it might not be done yet:

Sources with direct knowledge tell us that no deal has yet been signed, and as one source put it, “This whole thing could blow up again.”

Dr. Dre is treating this divorce like his much teased but never released Detox album. At this rate, we’ll get an entire album of Nicole Young diss tracks before we’ll ever see a follow-up to 2001!
