Kim Kardashian Thanked Kanye West For Introducing Her To Fashion While Accepting Her People’s Choice Award

Last night Kim Kardashian “won” the Fashion Icon of 2021 “award” at the People’s Choice Awards. She wore a black bodysuit from Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection and those sunglasses you get after laser eye surgery. The future is now! In her speech Kim thanked her probably-soon-to-be-ex-husband Kanye West for introducing her to the fashion world, and the audience cheered and applauded. Because it’s the audience at the PCAs. And they’re stupids.

Here’s the Kanye part of Kim’s speech:

Thank you to Zac Posen, who dressed me and took me to my first CFDA awards. And so many amazing designers, like Ricardo and Olivier that really believed in me and — well, probably were talked into it by getting a call from Kanye, so, thank you. Um, you know, to Kanye, even, for really introducing me to the fashion world.

Later Kim handed her sunglasses to Ellen DeGeneres (now we really can’t look her in the eyes) and joined sister Khloe Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner onstage to accept the award for Best Reality Show of 2021 (Real Housewives of Salt Lake City wuz robbed!). Kris also teased a new Kardashian project coming to Hulu in 2022:

2021 is the year of Kim wearing bodysuits that cover her hands, feet, and even her face. She says it’s fashun, but I suspect all that plastic surgery has taken a toll on Kimbo’s skin. And/or she’s a lizard person. Find out which one, next year on Hulu!
