CNN Fires Chris Cuomo, Effective Immediately
In “Better Late Than Never, I Guess” news, CNN announced during the nothing-to-see-here hour (aka 5 pm on a Saturday) that they are fucking done professionally with Chris Cuomo and have fired him. His CNN show Cuomo Prime Time is no more. Just a few days ago, Chris was indefinitely suspended by CNN for helping his brother, the former Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo, with sexual harassment allegations. Tacked on to the news of Chris Cuomo’s firing is a new allegation from a woman who has accused Chris of sexual misconduct. What a mess. The former First Lady of New York Sandra Lee must be able to see the future when she looks into a glass of her Ocean Breeze cocktail and knew the Cuomo Kingdom was going to crumble so she got out of there quick!
Andrew Cuomo resigned as Governor of New York in August after several women accused him of sexual harassment, and one of his accusers, Lindsey Boylan, also accused him of trying to silence her and launching a smear campaign against her. In May, three months before Andrew Cuomo resigned, The Washington Post reported that Chris was on a “series of conference calls” with his brother, strategists, and lawyers and gave his thoughts on how they should deal with the sexual harassment allegations. Chris ended up apologizing on his CNN show for advising his brother because it put his colleagues in a “bad spot.” But Chris claimed he wasn’t an “advisor” and was more like a little brother helping his big brother out. Chris later claimed that he never “attacked” any of his brother’s accusers and never made calls to the press on behalf of his brother. CNN stood by Chris Cuomo up until earlier this week when New York Attorney General Letitia James released documents that showed Chris played a much bigger role in his brother’s damage control campaign than he claimed. Text messages show that Chris agreed to use his sources to get intel on his brother’s accusers. CNN suspended Chris and hired a law firm to do an investigation. Well, I guess that investigation turned up some damaging shit because CNN is no longer standing by Chris and kicked his ass to the gutter. They gave this statement yesterday:

As for what CNN means by “additional information has come to light,” that may have to do with another sexual misconduct allegation against Chris Cuomo. The New York Times reports that a day after CNN suspended Chris Cuomo, lawyer Debra S. Katz, let the network know about a sexual misconduct allegation against Chris from “a former junior colleague at another network.” This allegation is completely unrelated to the allegations against Andrew Cuomo. When The New York Times asked CNN if this latest allegation had anything to do with them firing Chris’ ass, they only said:
“Based on the report we received regarding Chris’s conduct with his brother’s defense, we had cause to terminate. When new allegations came to us this week, we took them seriously, and saw no reason to delay taking immediate action.”
Debra also represents Charlotte Bennett, one of Andrew Cuomo’s accusers.
Chris Cuomo’s rep says that the newest allegation is “not true.” This is not the first sexual harassment allegation against Chris. In September, his former boss at ABC, Shelley Ross, wrote in an op-ed piece for The New York Times that he grabbed her butt at a work party in 2005. Chris responded by saying that it was “not sexual in nature” and that he apologized to Shelley then.
Chris himself hasn’t said anything about the new allegation, but he did put out a statement about getting shit-canned by CNN. Surprisingly, he didn’t bring the Chris Cuomo rage by tweeting a scalding stream of FUCKCNN!!!!s. Instead, he thanked everyone who worked on his show:

CNN says that the staff of Cuomo Prime Time will stay on and that Chris Cuomo’s regular substitute, Michael Smerconish, will temporarily take over the 9 pm spot next week.
Because of this news, your ears are probably being hit with two screeching sounds. The first is from Cuomosexuals defending Chris by screaming that they’d do the same thing for their alleged predator of a brother. The second is from Chris himself who is screaming in pain as his wife gives him a Clorox bath to try to cleanse him of his shit reputation.
