Glamour, Thy Name Is “And Just Like That.” Here’s The First Full Trailer For The “Sex And The City” Revival

People suffering from Sex and The City blue balls are about to get a long-overdue release. Much like a seductive, sexually liberated woman, And Just Like That has been slowly revealing herself to us, teasingly removing one layer at a time. First, a glove. And to our horror, the hand it was on was missing a finger. The best finger at that! No, not that finger, the middle one. And that was almost a year ago that we learned Kim Cattrall’s Samantha would definitely not be appearing in it. The tease has continued apace all this year with one slow, boring reveal after another and here we are, on the precipice of a climax and we still ain’t seen nary a nipple. That’s because Carrie’s been walking these streets wearing so many damn clothes she looks like the bed at a buzzy Upper East Side house party on a chilly autumn night. But now, with just over a week to go before it premieres on HBO Max, AJLT has finally shrugged off her blouse and the full trailer is out.

Ready or not, here comes Rose. That’s Charlotte and Harry’s daughter who was an infant in the first Sex and The City movie. Plus a whole bunch of other people including Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda, Kristen Davis as Charlotte, the late Willie Garson, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Empire‘s Nicole Ari Parker and Grey’s Anatomy’s Sara Ramirez as some kind of Antonia Robbins type motivational speaker for women who are bogged down by the weight of their own clothes. Here’s the trailer.

You know, it’s funny because even if AJLT were the hottest woman on the planet, it’s impossible not to get fixated on that gnarly nubbin left behind by Samantha. And she’s not the hottest woman on the planet. But then again, I personally never loved her. But I know many do. Even after that mortifying trip to Abu Dhabi. So somebody is rocking in their seat with anticipation. According to People:

The first two episodes, both written and directed by executive producer Michael Patrick King, will debut on Dec. 9. The following eight episodes will premiere weekly on subsequent Thursdays with the final episode airing on Feb. 3, 2022.

And Just Like That… “follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,” according to the show’s description.

Can’t wait for AJLT Twitter to go absolutely ape shit when Carrie finally removes her bra in the final episode to reveal… NOT SO FAST THERE YOU HORNY LEGENDS! You’ll just have to wait.
