Marilyn Manson’s House Was Raided By Police In Connection With His Sexual Assault Investigation

Well…that doesn’t sounds good! I’ve never personally had my house raided by the sheriff’s department, but I imagine it’s probably not a good sign for a person. Especially one with numerous sexual assault and misconduct allegations against them. Kanye West, you better pray for your good buddy Marilyn Manson, because he’s apparently at the “Strangers in suits are turning my couch cushions inside out, tossing my shit, and grabbing all my external hard drives” part of his ongoing assault investigation.

Deadline reports that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives served a search warrant at Marilyn Manson’s West Hollywood apartment yesterday. According to police sources, he wasn’t there. Police also would not confirm the owner of the apartment was Marilyn Manson himself – they would only say that they delivered a search warrant and raided a specific address, but TMZ says it was Marilyn’s place. The apartment was raided and searched, due to the ongoing investigation surrounding Marilyn Manson’s alleged inability to respect boundaries or consent.

Detectives would not say what they were looking for, but Deadline reports they left Marilyn’s place early Monday morning with media storage units, including hard drives. As for the investigation, it was spawned from allegations made by Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco, who accused Marilyn earlier this year, of a number of things including non-consenting violence, rape, and keeping her locked up in a room and terrified for the sake of “art.” In April, she filed a lawsuit against Marilyn Manson for sexual assault, sexual battery, and sex trafficking (she has claimed that Marilyn convinced her to come live with him in California, then restricted when she could leave the home and never gave her access to a house key). Esmé claims she felt empowered to come forward with her story after hearing Evan Rachel Wood name Marilyn Manson as her abuser, who she was with from 2006 to 2010. In February of this year, police confirmed they had an opened an investigation into the allegations made against Brian Warner, Marilyn Manson’s real name. Based on the timeline, it could be the allegations made by Esmé Bianco, or who knows? I mean, there are an awful lot of allegations against Marilyn Manson out there.

And of course, Marilyn Manson has continued to deny Evan Rachel Wood’s allegations against him, and deny that any relationships he’s had have been anything but totally consensual. Your honor, I object. There’s no way that eye shadow feels comfortable being applied on his face in such a sloppy manner.

Hopefully, detectives got all they needed when they raided Marilyn’s lair. I also kind of hope they were able to keep things light during their raid, just for the sake of their own mental health (I can’t imagine a search-and-seizure based on violent sexual assault is a ton of fun). I don’t know if they did this, but raiding Marilyn Manson’s house is the perfect opportunity to play “What’s the weirdest thing in the house.” Except Marilyn Manson’s version of weird is probably some mundane shit, like a complete DVD box set of The WB’s Everwood.
