Paris Hilton’s New Husband, Carter Reum, Has A 9-Year-Old Child Who He’s Only Met Once

40-year-old Paris Hilton just got married to 40-year-old rich dude, Carter Reum. And guess what? No, they didn’t break up already. They actually made it through their three-day wedding party last weekend and it’ll all be on her Peacock reality show, Paris In Love. But Page Six has discovered that Carter has a secret daughter. But this child was actually only a secret to us because all the spokespeople are saying the “people who this story matters to” already knew. Well, maybe loop in his actual daughter to that list, because sources claim once the 9-year-old girl–who Carter has seen oncesaw press about him marrying some famous woman and “starting” a family, she felt some type of way. The Deadbeat Dads Club really does get bigger each year.

Paris and Carter got engaged on her 40th birthday vacation after being together for just over a year. But hey, he spent way more time with Paris in that one year than he has with his own child in totality. A source “with direct knowledge of the situation” told Page Six that Carter has seen his daughter, whose name wasn’t published, once in the 9 years since she was born. The girl’s mother is a woman named Laura Bellizzi. She was on VH1’s short-lived reality show Secrets of Aspen back in 2010.  Laura also briefly dated Mel Gibson–so more points against her, sorry. Laura is from Chicago, where Carter is also from, but she lives in California with their daughter.

Last year, legal records were filed which show that Carter acknowledged he IS the father without taking a paternity test. And his spokesperson says that while Carter doesn’t have a “traditional father-daughter-relationship” with his daughter (that’s PR speak for “doesn’t see her”), he supports her and Paris knows about his daughter.

“The people who this story matters to have known about it for 10 years. Carter supports this child. While he does not have a traditional father-daughter relationship with her, he has provided for her since she was born, and will continue to do so.”

“…From the beginning of Paris and Carter’s relationship, he was upfront with her about the matter,” said the spokesperson. “They are looking forward to starting their own family together in the future.”

But methinks Carter’s daughter won’t be as moved by that statement, as the source added that she was “triggered” by the wedding coverage and that she felt “left out of her father’s life.”

“Also, she saw the articles of Paris and Carter talking about starting a family. She felt tremendous rejection and felt left out. She wants to have a relationship with him,” said the source.

As for the girl, she only wants to “know her daddy,” the source said. “She just wants to really complete the missing pieces of her puzzle,” said the insider.

“She’s at that age where self-identity is so important, and children want to know who they are and where they come from. It’s important for him to help her with that.” The source added, “It’s not about (Reum) or the mother. It’s about making the child whole. She is absolutely an amazing little girl. She has so much love to give. And she wants to give it to him, his family and whoever he chooses to love.”

A second source said the child not only has had a difficult time coping with her father’s absence in her life, but has been emotionally affected seeing all the publicity surrounding Reum and Hilton’s wedding.

“I cannot begin to describe the pain she feels,” the second source said. “She is of an age now where she is cognizant and wants her paternal family to hear her and know her. He may not claim or love her, but she claims and loves him and his family.”

Laura declined to comment.

Of course, his daughter is upset, Paris has the tastes of a 9-year-old girl so his daughter must be like: “HELLO?! If you wanted to hang out with a childish high-pitched chick who loves unicorns and sparkles, how about your own kid!”
