Reese Witherspoon Loves That She And Her Daughter Ava Phillippe Are Face Twins
You know those relatives who go: “Oh everyone says we look like twins,” and you look at them and think: “Bitch, who?” Reese Witherspoon is not that person. 45-year-old Reese and her daughter, 22-year-old Ava Phillippe, look pretty much the same–you could cast Ava in a Legally Blonde remake tomorrow and it would be perfect. Except, her mom still looks like a twenty-year-old too, so she’s just gonna do the Legally Blonde reboot her-damn-self. And wouldn’t you know, Reese loves hearing from people that she still looks like a fresh new young person. This is rare–people normally hate being told they look young.
Reese is on the cover of the December/January issue of InStyle and did a Q&A with Oprah‘s bestie, Gayle King. Page Six said that the publication caught some flack as commenters complained Reese looked hyper-retouched on the cover. Here’s the pic:
But editor, Laura Brown, replied to comments saying: “Hey team, for those commenting on retouching, the brief was super sexy, a heavy eye and big hair. You rarely see Reese like this–which was the point. We are not in the business of embalming women at @instylemagazine.” Unlike the Koven who have been embalming their own since the early 2000s. But we should believe that Reese is just naturally youthful since it runs in the family.
Reese shares Ava with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe, along with their 18-year-old son Deacon. She also has a 9-year-old boy, Tennessee, with her husband Jim Toth. But of the three kids, Ava is the one who’s told she’s her mom’s twin:
Reese told Gayle that she loves “being mistaken” for her daughter since it makes her “feel so young.” And probably those microlaser appointments help with the youthfulness too. And apparently, Ava actually calls up Zoë Kravitz a lot since the two of them share their faces with their mothers, as Zoë is a spitting image of Lisa Bonet. via People:
“I’m so proud of her. She really rolls with it. I’m sure it’s not easy looking exactly like your mother,” she said of the 22-year old.
“Reese, stop it! When Mama looks like you, it’s very easy,” King said. The Oscar winner replied, “Oh, you’re sweet” then shared which A-list friend Ava turns to for advice about having a famous lookalike mother.
“We talk to Zoë Kravitz a lot,” Witherspoon said. “Because she and her mother look exactly alike, so whenever Ava is frustrated, I go, “Call Zoë, text Zoë, she knows what to talk about.” I mean, that’s another mother-daughter combo that’s like identical twins.”
But just because Ava looks identical to Reese, doesn’t mean they’ll have the same careers:
“It’s an odd situation because I didn’t grow up famous. So she’s living an experience that I did not have, and so are my sons. We are lucky enough to have friends who grew up in Hollywood and can help give them advice on how to navigate. Ava is so down-to-earth. She wants to do great things in the world… She’s studying and learning and trying to find herself. It’s a big thing in life to try different things and figure out what is really your path.”

Reese’s genetics go hard because not only is Ava her double, but Deacon looks a lot like her too. He’s got some Ryan in him but the Reese factor is undeniable, look at that chin:
It’s nice that Reese and Ava are twinsies, though it is sort of true of a bunch of celebrities these days. Like Kris Jenner looks like the Koven, and Kim Zolciak looks identical to her daughters–but it’s not really so much genetics as it is they go to the same plastic surgeons, so I guess it’s a bit less impressive.
