Vin Diesel Invoked The Late Paul Walker While Asking Dwayne Johnson To Return To The Final “Fast And Furious” Movie

Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are not friends. Vin’s talked about it, Dwayne’s talked about it and has also joked about it in his new movie. Since these two met on Fast Five they were destined to be rivals as there’s only room for one buff, bald man in Hollywood so one of them had to go. But not before one last hurrah! At least, that’s what Vin is hoping, as he’s taken to Instagram to ask Dwayne to return to the Fast and Furious franchise for the tenth and final movie. He even brought up the late Paul Walker. Jeez man, bringing up Paul Walker. Why not just have Meadow Walker go up to Dwayne’s doorstep and cry until he signs a contract?
Vin and Dwayne did not get along when filming the FF movies. Introduced in 2011’s Fast Five, Dwayne played government agent Luke Hobbs who hunted down Vin’s Dominic Toretto who was wrongly accused of killing some other American agents. Dwayne went on to star in three more FF movies, as well as the spin-off movie Hobbs & Shaw with Jason Statham. In July, Dwayne said during an interview that he was done with the FF movies.
During their time together, Dwayne had called out Vin on social media as a “chicken shit,” “candy ass” and Vin had apparently tried giving Dwayne multiple acting notes. I mean, who wouldn’t take acting notes from the guy who played XXX, The Last Witch Hunter, and Riddick? Dwayne told Vanity Fair that he shouldn’t have roasted Vin online, but said that the two ended up having “a meeting of clarity” where “it really became just crystal clear that we are two separate ends of the spectrum. And agreed to leave it there.” But it looks like Vin is ready to end their feud for the sake of the FF franchise.
Vin publicly reached out to his “little brother Dwayne” in an Instagram post. Along with a pic of the two of them as their FF characters, Vin wrote an open letter to Dwayne where he mentioned his promise to “Pablo” (Paul Walker) and asked Dwayne to return for the final FF movie:
“The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10. I say this out of love… but you must show up. You have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny.”
Fulfill his destiny? Um, Dwayne already starred in Jungle Cruise–I think he’s fulfilled. Here’s Vin’s post featuring the two actors glaring at each other. He didn’t have a picture of them smiling together, or…?
Honestly, Vin should’ve just kept it real and said: “The last one made a shit ton of money. Let’s do that again.” Which is a far more influential argument.
