Emilio Estevez Is Leaving The “Mighty Ducks” TV Show And It’s Reportedly Over COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates

While the world still grapples with that bitch COVID-19, the US has to contend with both that disease AND the disease of anti-vaccination “experts” who have done thorough “research.” Even our favorite 80s/90s stars aren’t immune to this side of the plague! What havoc hath Wikipedia wrought!?

Emilio Estevez, former Brat Packer and star of The Mighty Ducks, has been given the ol’ heave-ho from the Disney+ reboot series, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. In the new series, Emilio played a washed-up version of Mighty Ducks coach Gordon Bombay who was fired from his last job for not liking the beliefs and attitudes of his team and co-workers. In news that was not at all foreshadowed, Emilio is not coming back for the second season of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers because he won’t say if he’ll comply with the new COVID-19 policies. Nothing like playing coy when it comes to disease!

According to Deadline:

The Mighty Ducks franchise will continue without Gordon Bombay. Emilio Estevez, who reprised his role from the 1992 movie and its 1994 and 1996 sequels in Season 1 of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, will not be back for the Disney+ series’ upcoming second season, I have learned.

I hear Disney Television Studios’ ABC Signature, which produces the hockey-themed sequel series, made the decision not to pick up Estevez’s option for Season 2 after weeks of back and forth with his team over the show’s Covid vaccination requirement. Reps for the studio and Estevez declined comment.

According to sources, Estevez, through his reps, has declined to provide assurances that he would comply with the policy.

You just KNOW that the Miles Teller of Disney+ tried to call the production company’s bluff like they couldn’t do the show without him! Of course, that’s not what his camp is saying. They’re towing the “We just had a minor disagreement. No, it’s not vaccine-related. How dare you say that!” line.

Meanwhile, sources close to Estevez indicate that creative differences may have played a role in his exit.

Sorry, Emilio you’ve missed out getting that paycheck (and potentially getting a whole crew infected). But not all is lost! Now that you’ve been unceremoniously cut from production, this is your chance to start a ragtag team of celebrities who are ready to take on Hollywood’s draconian rules against making people deathly ill. I hear Aaron Rogers, Nicki Minaj, and a bunch of Hallmark actors are potential draft options. You can call it the Anti-Vaxx Pack!
