Dr. Pepper Berries & Cream!

Yes, berries and cream-flavored Dr. Pepper did exist, but Dr. Pepper Berries & Cream did not come from the magical era of foolery known as the 80s, as I thought it did. It’s actually from the aughts. In 2006, Dr. Pepper Berries & Cream made its debut after a Dr. Pepper drink scientist thought, “Hmm… I wonder what it would taste like if Starburst’s Berries & Cream Lad busted a berry creamy nut into some Dr. Pepper?!

Ever since Dr. Pepper came out in the olden, olden, olden, OLDEN, olden days of the 1800s, they’ve experimented with different flavors like cherry vanilla, cherry chocolate, and vanilla float. And in 2006, they made berries and cream-flavored Dr. Pepper. It came out in 2006 but ended up in the failed soda flavors morgue by the end of 2007. via Soda Wiki:

Dr Pepper Berries & Cream and its diet version was released in most U.S. locations in April 2006. It is the second beverage in Dr Pepper’s “Soda Fountain Classics” line of drinks.

In Canada, the diet version of the drink was available approximately from May 2007 to August 2007 and the non-diet version was available from September 2007 to December 2007. Berries and Cream and Diet Berries and Cream have also been discontinued.

Here’s the commercial for Dr. Pepper Berries & Cream, and in it, a man is so hard up for it that he’s pretty much got a can of it attached to his drinking hole. Falling out of a chair and tumbling downstairs can’t keep him from sucking on his true love, Dr. Pepper Berries & Cream!

That tagline: Get Berried In Cream. It sounds like the tagline of a sploshing porn. And I guess that tagline sounding like porn makes sense since the man in the commercial is obviously creaming his chonies while making wet mouth love to a can of Dr. Pepper Berries & Cream.
