Britney Spears’ Fiancé Sam Asghari Got Cast In The Mel Gibson Movie “Hot Seat”

Sam Asghari isn’t just a hot guy who happens to be Britney Spears’ current fiancé and one of her loudest cheerleaders. Sam is also an “actor” and he’s going to marry a very rich, very famous person, and one would think that he doesn’t have to work so hard for that money anymore. But as a recent career choice has proven, Sam might still be picking gigs with whatever part of his brain tells him to say yes to everything because a check is a check. Or maybe Sam is in the dark about what Mel Gibson has been up to since that gory Jesus movie? Whatever the motivation, what we do know is that Sam has been cast in an upcoming action thriller starring Mel called Hot Seat. Ironically, the hot seat will also be what Sam is sitting in when he does press for this movie and is asked, “So, you decided to work with that person because…?

Deadline has the details of Hot Seat’s recent cast additions, as well as the plot. Turns out it’s not a gritty adaptation of that YouTube show where celebrities sit down and demolish their stomachs while eating hot sauce-soaked chicken wings. Starring opposite Mel Gibson’s character won’t be Sam, but Kevin Dillon. Sam has been cast in an unspecified role, but here’s the plot summary:

In Hot Seat, an ex-hacker is forced to break into high-level banking institutions by an anonymous man who planted a bomb under his chair at his office. Gibson plays the man who must try to penetrate the booby-trapped building to get a man (Dillon) off the hot seat.

This will be Sam’s third big-screen acting role (he’s appeared in 2019’s Can You Keep a Secret and 2020’s Unbelievable!!!!! playing himself). He’s appeared on several television series, like Hacks and Black Monday. Also in the cast of Hot Seat along with Mel, Kevin Dillon, and Sam, is Chad Michael Murray. I know they’re barely in pre-production, but is it too early to suggest Oscar buzz??

Britney Spears hasn’t yet publicly congratulated Sam on his latest endeavor. No cute social media post about that at the moment, but that could be because is still getting her strength back after after dragging her family on Instagram the other day. Britney might also not be that thrilled about Sam’s new role. It’s not known who he’ll play. But what if he’s playing an evil minion who uses shady illegal cyber-surveillance tactics to help siphon out all that money? That kind of material probably hits a little too close to home.
