Cardi B Seemed To Diss Nicki Minaj On Twitter Over Her Husband Kenneth Petty’s Legal Issues
It’s been a minute since Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been at it. Shoes everywhere are breathing a sigh of relief. Cardi has been busy having children and Nicki has been busy allegedly harassing her husband’s sexual assault victim. But it’s back to the old times, as Cardi has a court date on Monday for that strip club beatdown and after getting trolled by the Barbz over it, she tweeted something which seems like quite a pointed dig at Nicki and her husband. Get the air horn sound effects on deck, the feud is back on!
Back in 2018, Cardi B allegedly arranged a hit on two Queens strip club bartenders, Baddie G and Jade (real names Rachel and Sarah Wattley), after one of them allegedly had an affair with Cardi’s man, Offset. In December 2019, Cardi pleaded not guilty to charges of reckless endangerment and assault, but sadly for Cardi, NBC New York says that there’s video footage of her throwing an ice bucket at the sisters. The Grio says that she was reportedly offered a plea deal of third-degree assault but turned it down and will now appear in court this coming Monday where she faces up to four years in prison over the charges.
HotNewHipHop reports that Nicki’s fans trolled Cardi over going to prison and being away from her children, 3-year-old Kulture, and a 1-month-old son. One Barb tweeted, “Ma’am, you better get the best lawyers out there cause [you know] damn well Offset ain’t [gonna] be there.” And Cardi slapped back with, “My man is [allowed] to be with his kids so what’s your point?”

People were quick to assume she was shading Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who was charged with first-degree rape at 16 but ended up pleading guilty to attempted rape and serving four and a half years in prison. Because of this, he has to register as a sex offender wherever he lives. As Law & Order: SVU taught me, it’s hard for sex offenders to be around children, so people made the immediate connection.

Honestly, Cardi and Nicki need to stop with the fighting already and look at how much they have in common. They are both dealing with lawsuits, they both have trash husbands, and they both have children that probably poop diamonds into cashmere diapers. They have so much to bond over!
