Nicki Minaj Went Off On Little Mix In Defense Of Jesy Nelson
Last week former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson dropped the music video for her first solo single, “Boyz”, featuring Nicki Minaj. After its release, emergency room doctors reported a 57% rise in people Van Goghing their own ears off. And white Jesy faced accusations of blackfishing and appropriating Black culture. See: her darker skin tone, braided and beaded hairstyles, gold teeth, styling, street wear, “blaccent”, etc. Then some alleged DMs surfaced which showed Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock (who is Black) calling Jesy a “black fish” and “a horrible person.” But what does Jesy’s collaborator Nicki Minaj think of all this? Well, according to her and Jesy’s Instagram Live from last night, Nicki thinks the Little Mix girls are just jealous and Leigh-Anne should “take them text messages” and shove them up her “fucking ass.” As always, Nicki Minaj has given us a thoughtful, fully-researched take on a controversial issue.
First, some backstory. After “Boyz” was released, fans noticed that Jesy and the remaining members of Little Mix weren’t following each other on Instagram. Then, a TikToker, who goes by the name NoHun, shared unverified DM screenshots from Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne during a TikTok Live. The screenshots show Leigh-Anne allegedly responding to an Instagram poll, in which NoHun asked if they should make up a dance routine to “Boyz.” Leigh-Anne wrote, “No” and added, “Do a video about her being a black fish instead.” Then she shared that Jesy was the one to block the Little Mix girls (and member Perrie Edwards’ dog, Hatchi). Leigh-Anne added that Jesy is a “horrible person.” Tell us what you really think!

So. That was floating around the Internet before Nicki and Jesy did their Instagram Live. In an Instagram Story ahead of the scheduled Live, Nicki quoted her verse from “Boyz”: “Jesy, we got all these jelly btchs actin real messy.”
And while Nicki didn’t *explicitly* mention Little Mix or Leigh-Anne during the Live, it’s pretty clear who she was talking about. via E! Online:
“Sweetheart, take them text messages and shove it up your f–king ass,” she began. “Let her enjoy this time. If you was in this woman’s group and you ain’t talk about this s–t for 10 years, and as soon as you see she’s got a video coming out with Nicki Minaj—”
She continued, “Print them text messages out, bust your ass open and shove it up your motherf–king ass. OK? And stop trying to hurt people and kill people’s lives and career.”
Then Nicki pulled a “my mom when I wasn’t invited to the sleepover part of Kayla’s 12th birthday party” and accused the Little Mix girls of just being jealous:
“Stop. If you want a solo career, baby girl, just say that,” she remarked. “You can go out and put your own music. We’re gonna support you and love you. That’s it. You don’t have to attack someone else. If that’s how you felt, why were you kiki’ing with her and being in the videos with her for 10 years?”
Nicki added, “Now, all of a sudden she’s not in a video with you, you have some negative, evil thing to do and say? Stop.”
Jesy also addressed the blackfishing accusations in the Live, explaining that her “intention was never ever to offend people of color.” She says she wants to “celebrate” ’90s R&B because “that era of music is what I love.”

In other controversial Minaj news, last week Nicki co-hosted the soon-to-be-aired Real Housewives of Potomac reunion with Andy Cohen. And while some fans celebrated the impending messiness, others gave Bravo shit cuz of Nicki’s stance on vaccinations. In case you forgot, her official position is: getting vaxxed might swell up your balls and make you impotent and ruin your upcoming wedding.
The same day Nicki tweeted about her cousin’s friend’s nuts blowing up, she tweeted that she didn’t go to the Met Gala cuz attending would require her to be vaxxed. She explained, “if I get vaccinated it won’t [be] for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research.” The vaccine tweets were mid-September, and the Potomac gig was a few days ago. So? Did Nicki finish her research? Did Bravo make her get vaxxed? Yesterday Andy dished on Nicki’s reunion appearance on his SiriusXM radio show, and his co-host John Hill asked if she had to get vaccinated to appear. Andy replied:
She followed all COVID protocols. Good question. I’m glad you asked that. Yeah. Yeah. She followed all the COVID protocols.
This means… well, it actually doesn’t mean shit. Because TMZ says that being vaccinated was not a requirement for the reunion taping. Word is they shot it in New Jersey, and the rules in that state only require a negative COVID-19 PCR test for productions.

So Nicki’s maybe not vaccinated, she doesn’t give a fuck about collaborating with a so-called blackfish, and let’s not forget her continued defense of sex offenders like her husband.
