Kelly Clarkson Was Awarded Sole Ownership Of The Montana Cattle Ranch Where Her Ex Is Still Living

Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock is going to have a hard time finding a rental that will let him keep his new colts, Chapo and Cash. It’s hard enough to find a property that’ll even let you have a small dog! TMZ reports that Brandon is “pretty much just a squatter at this point” at Kelly’s Vintage Valley Ranch in Montana, which she bought and paid for and of which she was deemed “sole titleholder” by a judge. So Brandon has got to go! But I’m sure Kelly will make sure that Chapo and Cash have a safe place to land even if Brandon winds up on the streets of Nashville begging for spare change.
Last month a judge ruled to uphold, in full, Kelly and Brandon’s prenuptial agreement which stipulated that Kelly could walk away with anything she purchased with money she earned herself. For me, that would mean I could retain three pairs of sweatpants and some weed gummies should me and my husband ever divorce. But the stakes for Kelly were significantly higher as she was the primary breadwinner in her family. Brandon should have thought of that when he gave up his lucrative career of sitting on his ass collecting 10% of Kelly’s income as her manager, to pursue cattle ranching full time. TMZ reports:
Kelly Clarkson is now poised to boot her ex-husband from the Montana ranch they once shared, because a judge just made it clear … it’s all hers.
Brandon Blackstock argued the ranch — where he’s living now — is “marital property” — meaning it’s as much his as hers. But, the judge begged to differ, saying the ranch falls within the prenup, which essentially means whatever Kelly bought with the money she earned is hers and hers alone.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Kelly wants Brandon off the ranch, but he’s not moving. We’re told Kelly believes Brandon is pretty much just a squatter at this point, and she’s contemplating action to get him out.
The Blast reports that Kelly really wants to sell the ranch, which costs approximately $80,000 per month to operate and Brandon has been covering. But considering Brandon’s primary income has probably been the $200,000 monthly spousal and child support checks Kelly pays him (despite the fact that the kids currently live with her in LA), I think we know who’s really the Cow Boss and who’s the hired hand.
