Open Post: Hosted By The Return Of Toilet Paper Restrictions At Costco

Like everyone, I am sooo sick of the pandemic. Mainly because I can’t lick random strangers in a bar anymore, but other than that I’m tired of all the setbacks we’ve been through. Most importantly, think about toilet paper. We’ve had to ration everything like World War II, and now it seems like we’ll have to re-enter that phase once again at Costco. Yes, their discounts and savings are everything! That is until you try to stock up on toilet paper. Then it’s 2020 all over again.

According to Yahoo!, we are once again at the part of the story where promises must be fulfilled. And in this case, the promise is to ensure Costco makes everyone dig into trashcans to retrieve old pieces of tissue if necessary. I mean sure, Costco stocks everything you can think of. However, they’re now ready to kill everyone’s dreams by not being able to provide an abundance of booty wipes for the masses.

The warehouse chain confirmed in a call with analysts on Thursday that it had reinstated purchase limits on items such as toilet paper and packs of its private-label Kirkland water to prevent shortages. Customers are buying more and more of these items amid the spread of the Delta variant in the US, it said.

And if you think this is mainly a problem for Costco customers think again. This is an issue for everyone. Especially during these times when we all need to be extra cautious.

Costco imposed the latest limits in reaction to “the uptick in the Delta-related demand,” Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti said in a call with analysts Thursday.

It’s not just customer demand for certain items that is causing shortages: Galanti told analysts that supply-chain issues were also a problem for the retailer.

This is really going to be an issue as we get closer to Halloween. How will we TP the houses of people we hate the most with no toilet paper??? I guess we’ll have to settle for cheap spitballs this year in hopes we can really do damage in 2022.
