Diddy And Jermaine Dupri Got Into A Heated Argument Over Their Potential Verzuz Battle

I remember during the earliest stages of the pandemic when the Verzuz battle was born in an attempt to keep our spirits up. But that was last year and after some very good and very bad matchups (looking at you Keyshia Cole) they can stop now. I don’t want to see any more Verzuz battles. However, they keep multiplying and now Jermaine Dupri wants to hop on the bandwagon by calling out Diddy for a battle. But Diddy isn’t here for Jermaine’s paltry catalog of hits and has no problem letting him know just how unmatched they both are.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, Jermaine has been very vocal about wanting to square up with Diddy in a battle of their biggest hits on the Verzuz stage. For his part, Diddy threw his head back and did the “Bitch please!” laugh because he believes that his entire catalog would destroy Jermaine’s. He took his tickled bewilderment out on Twitter to let Jermaine know he can’t come for the crown. He also reminded everyone that the only person worthy of his Verzuz time is Husband of the Century Dr. Dre.

“Beloved you my **** but your arms too short to box with God!!” he wrote. “You ain’t got enough hits. I’ll smash you with just biggie n Mary . But I do have the upmost respect on you as a musical legend Dre the only one can get in the ring w me . -LOVE [black heart emoji].”

Their war of words didn’t end there. On Friday, recent Verzuz combatant (and loser according to the streets) Fat Joe and everyone’s favorite high uncle Snoop Dogg looped both Diddy and Jermaine into a Livestream to discuss their potential Verzuz, and things took a turn for the shady! While Fat Joe and Snoop watched like a bunch of intrigued 12-year-old fanboys Diddy and Jermaine screamed at each other like two pepaws trying to get clear answers about their technical issues from Verizon. But after the noise cleared, Diddy let Jermaine know he would begin the battle by breaking out his 1997 smash hit ‘Victory‘ featuring Busta Rhymes and Biggie Smalls. And that’s when Jermaine slapped that idea down by calling the track “mediocre

The two of them continued their old man screaming match by eventually playing tracks to prove who had the best hits. Jermaine played “Confessions Part II” by Usher and Diddy tried to match him by playing Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Going Down“, which should have been the theme song for this entire sad ass Livestream session because Diddy was the clear loser for this preliminary Verzuz round.

Y’all, this is going to happen so get ready. And please let this be the last one since Verzuz is sponsored by Ciroc, the vodka that’s been getting bougie folks drunk for almost twenty years thanks to Diddy. However, these battles will probably go on for another twenty years with Diddy opening each set by dancing on stage holding a bottle of Ciroc singing “I thought I told you that we won’t stop!
