Erika Jayne Just So Happened To Be Papped At TJ Maxx
Erika Jayne seems to be all over the place and her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars are noticing. On RHoBH last night, Erika told Kyle Richards another story about her estranged husband, Tom Girardi, which had Kyle more confused than an aggressive psychic at a dinner party. Erika told tall tales about snow in Pasadena, mysterious car accidents, and geriatric Tom fighting off a would-be robber like a Power Ranger. I’m sure the lawyers watching Erika’s every move for a way to squeeze millions of dollars out of her loved her performance and are taking notes during each episode. But Erika has some legal defensive tactics of her own. She’s been Maxxing it up at TJ Maxx, and was photographed looking sad and poor and hardly like a woman who can pay back embezzlement victims!
82-year-old Tom, who is currently suffering from Alzheimer’s and is under a conservatorship, is facing several lawsuits for allegedly stealing money from the families of plane crash victims and his now-bankrupt law firm, Girardi Keese. Erika claims she knew nothing about Tom’s alleged financial crimes, but documents show that Tom used millions of the money he embezzled to fund her lavish lifestyle and “singing career.” Girardi Keese wants their money back and filed a $25 million lawsuit against Erika to get it. A judge also ruled that Tom’s embezzlement victims can collect from Erika.
Since then, Erika moved out of her and Tom’s $13 million mansion (which is up for sale), and Us Weekly says that another one of their properties, a $1.25 million condo in La Quinta, CA, is up for sale to help pay creditors and legal bills. Ronald Richards, the attorney for the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy case involving Tom’s law firm, tweeted about how the money will be divided:
Breaking: Girardi's La Quinta condo is finally up for sale. The sale will result at a minimum of $730,000 to the estate with $584k going to the Ruigomez creditors. $335k is going to Girardi's trustee's attorney's bill. The sales price is $1,250,000. https://t.co/rrNcFQrefG

Erika also has been doing some damage control by telling stories on RHoBH that seem very strange. Us Weekly says that during last night’s episode, Erika told Kyle that a couple of days earlier, Tom got into it with a burglar who broke into his house. And Erika’s son got into a snow-related car accident while driving over to Tom’s house to help him. Also, Tom had to go to the hospital for eye surgery. “Confusing” doesn’t even begin to describe this mess.
“Tom’s house was broken into, and he confronted the burglar and then he had to go have eye surgery and then my son had to go over and help and then, my son, he rolled over his car five times on the way home… I got a call at 3 in the morning–but didn’t get it until 6–from [the] Pasadena police department that Tom’s home had been broken into. … He confronted the burglar and then he had to go the hospital and then have some sort of surgery, I don’t even really know.”
When asked why he had to go to the hospital, Erika replied, “He has glioma and I think, like, pressure and the anxiety. …I’m not sure. I haven’t spoken [to him].” Kyle then asked for clarification on the car incident. “My son went because I can’t go, and then on his way home, it was snowing and he rolled his car,” Erika said, noting that her adult son, who is a police officer, lives “further out” when the former child star questioned the snow in Pasadena.
“So if Tom was burglarized, how’d you find out?” Kyle questioned in a confessional. “Tom confronted the burglars, did they do anything to him? And what about your son, was he hurt? His car flipped, but he’s OK? This story, obviously, sounds unbelievable. That’s the only word I can think of. It sounds unbelievable. Does that mean I don’t believe her? No. But it’s unbelievable.”
Erika’s story is not total bullshit. In January, authorities confirmed that officers responded to an alleged forced entry through a broken window at Tom’s home.
And Page Six says that this week, Erika and her assistant shopped at a TJ Maxx in Pasadena. Erika also hit up Target and a Petco. Page Six adds that “the star’s phone was reportedly ringing off the hook all afternoon.” Creditors calling her, or…?

During the reunion for this season’s RHoBH, Andy Cohen better get a whiteboard and some strings and then put Erika’s stories together. Co-star Sutton Stracke has been on Erika’s throat this whole season asking her questions and calling her a liar, so she can hold the erasers.
