Beck And Marissa Ribisi’s Divorce Has Been Finalized, And He Gets To Keep 10 Of Their Houses

That’s right, ten. Beck officially leaves his 15-year marriage to Marissa Ribisi with the shirt on his back, all the expensive bespoke shirts in his closet, millions of dollars, a car, and ten properties. And Marissa gets some stuff too. But they did have a lot to settle. Like who would get all the Banksys?! Yes, that’s Banksys plural. The biggest item I got in a break-up was an old Hoover.

Beck and Marissa filed for divorce in 2019, thus ending one of the more high-profile celebrity marriages blessed by Scientology. Not long after it was announced he was splitting from Giovanni Ribisi’s twin sister, Beck made it very clear that he’s not a member of Scientology (both Beck and Marissa were raised by Scientologists, and her mother Gay Ribisi is a high-profile agent to Scientologists, like Elisabeth Moss). Escaping a Scientology marriage sounds terrifying, like if you don’t arm yourself with a great lawyer, you might end up being forced to pay a billion years’ worth of thetan support or something. But the reality of the situation is that it sounds like any ol’ celebrity divorce. After two years of negotiations and settlement talks, Beck and Marissa have figured out who gets what. via People magazine:

Though the documents say that Beck, 51, and Ribisi, 46, had “a difference of opinion” as to when they separated – she claimed it was February 2019, while he said June 2017 – the couple did have a prenuptial agreement, and also agreed to joint legal custody of their two children, son Cosimo, 17, and daughter Tuesday, 14.

The singer has been ordered to pay Ribisi $18,169 per month in spousal support, as well as 13 percent of his income for anything over his annual gross cash flow of $1.74 million and less than $3 million, according to the documents.

In addition to spousal and child support, Beck must pay Ribisi a $500,000 equalization payment for all other property issues at a rate of $21,000 per month until it’s paid in full.

Beck also gets to keep ownership of ten properties, including homes in California, Tennessee, and Arkansas. Marissa gets to keep one home in California. Beck gets to keep more than two dozen pieces of original art, including four pieces by Banksy. Marissa gets five Banksy pieces, plus an original Andy Warhol painting. Thankfully, they both have enough walls between the two of them to hang their art.

Beck must also pay Marissa $18,169 in monthly spousal support and $14,531 in monthly child support, as well as nine percent of whatever income he makes on top of his annual income. In addition, Marissa gets to keep a 2014 Honda Odyssey, while Beck is allowed to drive away in a 2013 Mercedes-Benz.

Beck’s net worth is reportedly $15 million to $30 million. Really? How! Everyone in my high school owned a CD copy of Odelay. I assumed that would have made him a billionaire, but I guess I thought wrong. I mean, they are both driving vehicles purchased early on in Obama’s second term. Maybe Beck and I have more in common than I thought? Beck, if you suddenly find yourself needing an old Hoover for one of your ten houses, hit me up, I can help you out.
