Van Jones Says That The Rumors About Him Dating Kim Kardashian Are “Absurd”

Kim Kardashian may have cried her eyes out (as much as possible since her tear ducts are probably near-sealed shut with filler) over the dissolution of her marriage on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but now there’s a rumor that her divorce storyline is coming to an end since she might be trying to work things out with Kanye West. That’s sad news for CNN anchor and one of Kim’s legal mentors, Van Jones. Van and Kim were rumored to maybe be the next unholy union on Kris Jenner‘s twisted web of fate, but now that Kanye is possibly back in the picture Van is finally saying how “absurd” the dating rumors were.

Kim and Van met in 2018 when they both appeared at Rolling Stone‘s Criminal Justice Reform Summit. Since then, Kim has been trying (and failing) to become a lawyer, and Van was helping her out with that. That lead to rumors that Van Jones was in the running to becoming the next Mr. Kim Kardashian. But Page Six caught up with Van Jones at the reopening of Jay-Z‘s nightclub 40/40 Club on Saturday. And Van said that he didn’t want to dignify the rumors with a response (HA!) and then stroked Kim’s throbbing ego:

“I never made any comments about the rumors of me and Kim Kardashian dating as I found it absurd… It was flattering for me, but it probably wasn’t flattering for her.”

But who knows if Van is actually officially out of the running because Buzzfeed notes that on Kanye’s new album Donda which finally got released, there were plenty of lyrics that seem to refer to KimYe’s troubled marriage. One line seemed to question Kim’s fidelity:

“Three hours to get back from Palm Springs, huh? Who you know spend an hour in Walgreens, huh?”

And other lyrics seemed to reference the couple’s fights:

“Too many complaints made it hard for me to think, can you shut up I can’t hear myself drink.”

“Cussin’ at your baby mama, guess that’s why they call it custody.”

Van should be careful with calling the rumor that he’s dating Kim “absurd.” He did save himself noting that he was flattered, but I still think he’s going to get a visit from one of Kris Jenner’s sleep paralysis demons who will scare him with its haunting visage as it shouts: “Don’t ever use negative adjectives in a sentence with a Kardashian!”
