The Re-Issue Of “Finding Freedom” Claims That Prince Harry And The Queen Had A Special Reunion After Prince Philip’s Funeral

Today marks the release of an updated version of Finding Freedom, the tell-all book about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving the Royal family. That’s the one Meghan admitted leaking a wee bit of information to (despite previously denying it). Well, a lot has happened since the book’s initial release a year ago, and today’s re-issue contains a brand spanking new epilogue ft. tea about the couple’s move to California, the Oprah interview, and Prince Philip’s death. It also includes claims that the two Buckingham Palace staffers who accused Meghan of bullying later asked for “their experiences with Meghan to be rescinded”, and that Harry and THE QUEEN had a “very special” reunion after Prince Philip’s funeral. Awww, did Harry hug his wee granny? Is the Royal family even allowed to hug?

Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand write that Harry’s visit to England for his grandpappy’s funeral in April allowed him to “spend precious moments” with THE QUEEN. Their source says, via Town & Country:

“To see each other after so long apart, the longest he hadn’t seen the Queen for, was very special. Despite everything that has happened, he has the utmost love and respect for her. Her life of duty and service is one of the many ways in which she has inspired him to also serve.”

The authors also note that Harry spent most of his time after the funeral with Princess Eugenie and her “superhero” husband Jack Brooksbank. Back in April, The Daily Beast reported that Harry got the hell outta Dodge as soon as the funeral was over, avoiding Prince Charles and Prince William and missing his grandmother’s 95th birthday. Meghan didn’t accompany him; she was super pregnant (literally the best excuse ever, well done Meghan’s uterus!).

Here’s the bit in the book about those bullying allegations against Meghan being taken back, via Page Six:

…“upon discovery” of a formal complaint by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s former communications secretary Jason Knauf, “two of the individuals mentioned in the email asked for any allegations made to HR about their experiences with Meghan to be rescinded”

Jason Knauf originally filed a complaint about Meghan’s alleged bullying in October 2018. Details of the report were published by The Times in March, right before Harry and Meghan’s big Oprah interview. Jason claimed that Meghan had “drove two personal assistants out of the household,” and “undermined” the confidence of a third. But I guess two of the three personal assistants took that shit back (at least officially).

I’m reserving judgment on all of this until I get my hands on a copy of Prince Harry’s upcoming memoirs. I want aaaallll the juicy deets on that reunion with THE QUEEN (Were her new Corgis there? Were they crying?!), and I need a full psychological profile of Meghan’s former assistants. Were they planted by Duchess Kate? Massive Suits fans? Or more like Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt in The Devil Wears Prada Reitmans?
