Tom Cruise’s BMW Was Stolen In The UK

Tom Cruise is STILL filming Mission: Impossible VII in the UK. And Page Six says that Tom’s 2021 BMW X7 was stolen from Church Street in Birmingham early on Tuesday morning. Sources say the car was parked outside of the Grand Hotel, which is only a two-minute walk from the police headquarters. The hotel apparently recommends that guests park their cars in a secure, barrier-protected lot which was eight minutes away, but, LOL, you try telling Tom he has to walk eight minutes to pick up his car. He’ll rage out of his lifts harder than he rages out of his lifts while screaming about crew members breaking COVID protocols.

The thieves reportedly used a scanner to capture and clone the signal from the keyless car’s ignition fob, which then tricked the car into thinking the key was within range. See? Technology never lets us down! Let’s keep building robot dogs and all go live on Mars! A spokeswoman for the local police confirmed there was a theft and also that the car was recovered:

“We received a report of a BMW X7 stolen from Church Street, Birmingham in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The car was recovered a short time later in Smethwick… CCTV enquiries have been made in the area that the car was recovered from. Inquiries are ongoing.”

Sadly while Tom’s car was retrieved, all his shit was gone. A source told The Sun:

“Tom had been driven around in the car while in Birmingham and some of his luggage and belongings were inside it when it was taken… It’s since been recovered by police because it was equipped with an electronic tracking device but everything inside it had gone… It’s a huge embarrassment for the security team and the guy who had been driving it was hopping mad–but not as mad as Tom!”

Oh yeah, I’m sure that Tom used his telekinesis to whip his security team into the stratosphere. But poor boy didn’t even need the car found since reports came in that BMW provided an identical replacement “within hours of the theft.”

Tom obviously wasn’t too shaken up over the theft, since he then flew to Las Vegas where he presented a clip of M:I VII–which is due out May 2022–at CinemaCon. In the clip of his “most dangerous stunt ever,” Tom rode a motorbike down a ramp and off a cliff in Norway, then parachuted off the bike in midair. via Deadline:

This is far and away the most dangerous thing I’ve attempted; we’ve been working on this for years,” said Cruise.

Cruise trained for the feat by skydiving in the air (500 times). A cycle jumping course was built, which Cruise trained on, jumping hills 30 times a day according to the footage.

“I had to get so good at this so there’s no way I miss my mark,” says Cruise.

But back to Tom’s stolen BMW. I doubt Tom drives it but if he does, then those thieves really had to be patient. If Tom was the last one driving his BMW, then the driver’s seat was probably moved all the way forward and all the way up. So whoever stole it, had to patiently wait for the seat to lower back down before zooming off. Talk about a nail-biting experience!
