JoJo Siwa Will Be A Part Of The First Ever Same-Sex Team On “Dancing With The Stars”
Dancing With The Stars will be back for season 7421 this fall. Okay, only the 30th but honestly, it feels like more. The show has been on for 16 years and this coming season will feature the first-ever same-sex pairing. Two members of the cast have already been announced. Gold medalist Olympic gymnast, Sunisa “Suni” Lee, and dancing ponytail JoJo Siwa will be a part of the cast. JoJo will dance with a female partner. Other countries’ versions of DWTS have featured same-sex couples, but this is the first time the U.S. version has. So ABC’s feedback line better be prepared to explode from all of the gay-hating tricks who are going to call in.
TVLine says that DWTS will be back on September 20th. Tyra Banks is back as host, and judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Derek Hough, and Carrie-Ann Inaba will also be back. The entire cast will be announced on September 8th. But yesterday, 18-year-olds Suni and JoJo were announced as cast members. JoJo, who came out earlier this year, is always a hyperactive rainbow of excitement and she continued to be when she recorded a video about how excited she is to dance with a lady partner, who has not been announced yet. If you listen closely, you can almost hear her hairline letting out a scream over how much more abuse it’s going to suffer through in the makeup and hair trailer on the set of DWTS.

JoJo got her start on Dance Moms, so of course many are saying that it’s not fair that she’s competing on DWTS since she already has a lot of dance training. First of all, when has DWTS ever been fair? Second of all, this might be different. I mean, JoJo had no choice but to turn out the moves hardcore on Dance Moms because if she didn’t, Ursula’s land-bound sister Abby Lee Miller would devour her whole. So what I’m saying is that if JoJo really wants to bring it on DWTS, she needs to have Abby Lee sitting in the front row, ready to unlock that jaw if she so much as messes up one little move.
