Ben Affleck Was NOT Looking At Engagement Rings But He And Jennifer Lopez ARE “Seriously Talking About Getting Married”

Yesterday, we posted about how Ben Affleck was “caught” by the paparazzi looking at engagement rings at Tiffany’s while out with his wife and son. Well, there’s a perfectly good explanation for that and it involves a scavenger hunt at the mall. Nothing engagement-related, just a day of free publicity for going to the mall. But hey, here’s some more publicity, because while Ben wasn’t technically looking at engagement rings, sources say the couple is totally talking about getting married and might even elope.

A source tells E! News that Ben wasn’t only with his mom Christine and his 9-year-old son Samuel. Ben’s daughters, 15-year-old Violet and 12-year-old Seraphina, were also part of the shopping outing. Apparently, Ben looking at rings had to do with a scavenger hunt game with his family:

“They split into teams with his daughters on one team and Ben, Sam and his mom on the other. They went all around the mall and into various stores crossing off each of the items they found. One of the stops was into Tiffany and they had to find something in the store. Ben walked in with his son and his mom and they quickly found what they needed and walked out. Ben held a pen and crossed it off his list… They all had fun and got into the game… It was a fun family activity that they seemed to enjoy doing together.”

Yeah, trolling for publicity must be a fun family affair. But they’re not trolling us too hard. Sources assured UsWeekly that Ben and JLo are seriously talking about marriage and getting engaged.

“They are both madly in love and don’t want to let one another go this time,” the insider explains to Us, noting that [Ben] considers [Jennifer] the “one that got away” and he is “determined to make sure that doesn’t happen this time.”

…This time around, the insider notes that Affleck and Lopez are “considering eloping,” instead of having a “big lavish wedding.”

…For the New York native, her boyfriend has “matured into the man of her dreams” and she would definitely say yes when the right time comes, the source adds.

If Jennifer Lopez didn’t have a big lavish wedding I think that would be more a sign of the apocalypse than when the ocean was on fire.

Ben and JLo’s PR teams need to come up with more believable narratives because there’s no way these two would elope in an understated secret wedding. Do you want me to believe these two would miss an opportunity for high-production values and attention at the same time??? Sure, let me rub some more olive oil into my skin until I have the same skin as Jennifer Lopez which is also something that will TOTALLY HAPPEN.
