Nicki Minaj’s Husband, Kenneth Petty, Has Sued New York To Get Off The Sex Offender Registry

Nick Minaj’s husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty has to register as a sex offender in the states he lives in because he pleaded guilty to attempted rape after a 16-year-old girl accused him of raping her at knifepoint in 1994 (he was also 16 at the time). Recently, the victim, Jennifer Hough, sued Mrs. and Mr. Nicki Minaj for allegedly trying to harass, intimidate, and bribe her into changing her story. As the Nicki Minaj song goes: “Yikes!” Well since intimidating a sexual assault victim didn’t work, I guess the new-ish parents decided to go the legal route. Kenneth is now trying to get the government to reconsider the severity of his offense and has sued New York to get off the sex offender registry.

Kenneth already got in trouble with the state of California for failing to register as a sex offender there when he moved to the state to be with Nicki (he eventually registered). TMZ reports that Kenneth is now trying to clear his name in New York and has sued the state. Kenneth believes that his name should be scrubbed from the sex offender list because he claims that years ago, he could’ve challenged the sex offender risk level assigned to him. But according to him, he never got the notice of the hearing. The notice was signed by a “Kenny Petty” but he’s screaming: FRAUD! via TMZ:

Petty’s suing the State of New York and its Criminal Justice Services division to have his name removed from the sex offender’s registry because he claims he never got notice of a hearing about it back in October 2004 while he was incarcerated.

According to the legal docs, obtained by TMZ … the hearing offered an opportunity to challenge the risk level assigned to him–he was categorized as a level 2 sex offender at the time–but problem is, Petty claims he never actually got notice of it.

Petty claims the notice of the hearing was sent to an address where he didn’t live–because he was in prison at the time–and alleges the “Kenny Petty” signature on the bottom is a forgery.

So this must be a real frame job because Kenneth has claimed that the person who signed the document also filled it in for him:

Petty claims whoever did it also answered that he would not be attending the hearing. So, according to the new suit, Petty claims he never got his constitutional right to due process to challenge the risk level assigned to him.

Because of this, Petty claims he’s suffered humiliation and financial loss–as well as being arrested last year for failing to register as a sex offender–and he now wants his name removed from NY’s sex offenders list.

Humiliation and financial loss for attempting to rape a girl at knifepoint which he pleaded guilty to? Trash argument but hey, Bill Cosby is out of prison so absolutely do not hold your breath about this not working out for Kenneth.

Well, Nicki Minaj is really trying hard to refurbish this creep of hers. But this is really gonna hurt her in future rap feuds with Cardi B. Yeah, Offset could likely be swinging his dick around on the regular, but at least he didn’t attempt to rape anybody that we know of. That’s the bar.
