Britney Spears Reported A Theft At Her Home Last Week, Which Might Have Been Over Her Missing Dogs

August really should have been Britney Spears’ month. After getting the go-ahead to choose her own lawyer, her new lawyer Mathew Rosengart immediately filed a petition to get Britney’s dad Jamie Spears out as her co-conservator. About a week after that, we learned that Jamie had agreed that he would eventually step down. But Britney isn’t twirling with joy at the moment, because things have taken a dark turn. Yesterday we learned that Britney’s housekeeper had accused Britney of slapping a phone out of their hand. Now we’re learning a few more details of that alleged incident, and according to sources, it reportedly happened after Britney confronted her housekeeper about the current location of Britney’s dogs, which are either missing, or were stolen, from her home.

Page Six reports that right before 6pm on August 10th, Britney called the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office to report a theft. When officers arrived at her home, her security staff reportedly informed officers that Britney had changed her mind, and didn’t want to file a report. Because she decided not to file a report, there’s no official record of what she was reporting as stolen. But according to TMZ’s sources, Britney was calling the police to report a dog theft. Earlier this month, one of Britney’s two dogs allegedly became sick, and so her dog sitter – who is also reportedly a nurse – decided to take the dog, and Britney’s other dog, to the vet. Neither dog returned home, and that’s when Britney started to worry about where they were.

On Monday, Britney reportedly decided to call the police and report the dogs as stolen (which, as we already learned, she decided to take back after having a change of heart). Why didn’t she just hop in the car and drive to the vet to collect her dogs? Well, that would be because the dogs weren’t there, but at the dog sitter’s home. Allegedly! The dog sitter reportedly took both dogs to their house, because they felt the dogs were being neglected in Britney’s care. The housekeeper agreed, and that’s how the housekeeper got dragged into things. via TMZ:

Britney confronted her housekeeper and demanded to know where her dogs were and why they were taken away. Our Britney sources say the housekeeper expressed concern that the dogs had been neglected and showed Britney photos she had taken on her cellphone of one of the dogs that had just thrown up.

The fight over the phone reportedly happened after Britney reminded the housekeeper that staff members aren’t allowed to take pictures inside her house. Sources say Britney tried to knock the phone out of the housekeeper’s hand, while the housekeeper claims Britney struck their arm. The housekeeper filed a battery report, and now the police are investigating the situation.

TMZ adds that Britney reportedly believes that the housekeeper took those photos and sent them directly to Jamie Spears, who then called up the dog sitter and instructed the sitter to take the dogs away. The housekeeper reportedly gets paid by Jamie, so it’s not too far of a stretch to think that someone might snitch to their boss. However, sources close to Jamie claim that he has no idea what goes on at Britney’s house, because he’s been “completely shut out.” As of yesterday afternoon, Britney hadn’t received her dogs back, but sources say she expects to get them back very soon.

So Jamie was able to remember to pay himself $16,000 a month, every month, but couldn’t figure out how to use some of Britney’s millions to hire a full-time dog nanny? Come on, how much could it possibly cost to keep someone on staff to wipe up the doggy barf? I’m guessing less than $16,000 a month.
