Scarlett Johansson Gave Birth To Her And Colin Jost’s Son

August 18, 2021 / Posted by:

Two seconds after Colin Jost confirmed the rumors that Scarlett Johansson was pregnant, Black Widow gave birth! That’s right… somewhere on this planet, there is a half-potato/half-tree hybrid baby. Scarlett’s rep revealed the big news with People, sharing that the couple “recently” welcomed their first baby together. Then Colin jumped on Instagram and wrote that it was a baby boy and “his name is Cosmo.” Cosmo is cute, I guess, but I thought they’d go for something more fitting like “Spruce Spud” or “Willow Tater” (although that’s clearly a girl’s name).

Here’s Colin’s Instagram post, in which he asks that all press inquiries be sent to Michael Che:

Cosmo is 39-year-old Colin’s first child and 36-year-old Scarlett’s second. She has a daughter, Rose Dorothy, who turns 7 this fall. She co-parents Rose with her second ex-husband, Romain Dauriac. Before Romain, she was married to Ryan Reynolds. Colin and ScarJo got married last October. So she’s bounced from a superhero movie star to a French businessman to a real-life version of Shane from The White Lotus. Fascinating.

ScarJost baby gossip has been swirling for months. Ahead of July’s release of Black Widow, Scarlett was absent for all in-person press events. And virtual interviews were done with ScarJo hiding the belly part of her body. But we didn’t get any official confirmation until this Sunday when Colin shared the news in a stand-up set in Connecticut. He told the audience, “We’re having a baby” and “It’s exciting.”

Well, congrats to Scarlett and Colin! I sure hope Cosmo doesn’t get kidnapped by evil scientists obsessed with figuring out how a potato fertilized a tree. The lil’ guy will have to keep his eyes peeled. Yuk yuk yuk.
