Drake Says He Got COVID, And That It Made His Hair Grow In Patchy
We’ve spent a year and a half deep in this pandemic, and as such, we’ve learned an awful lot about the effects of COVID-19, and its awful sister, the Delta Variant. We know that coronavirus can mess up your sense of smell and taste, that it can cause lasting heart issues and breathing problems. But did you also know, a COVID diagnosis can also lead to a hairline that’s all in shambles? It’s true, at least according to Drake, a man who now has what some think is a questionable hair situation.
Drake has been working the same hairstyle for a while now, which is a fade with a little heart edged into the top above his left eyebrow. Does it make him look like a My Little Pony called Lovesick Clinger? A little, but he likes it. And usually, it’s a very well-defined, sharp heart. Recently, though, Drake’s heart has been looking a little rough. A fan account re-posted a recent picture of Drake in the studio, and I don’t know how big of a fan that account really is, because they dragged him to Canada and back over the current status of that hairline heart. Jesus, who’s running this thing, Rick Murray? The point is, after they shit all over Drake’s hair, Drake popped into the comments and informed them that one of the side-effects of COVID for him has been hair regrowth, so please cool it with the jokes.

Suspicious types may think Drake’s explanation sounds like a lie to cover up a botched hair transplant or something, but it’s probably not. According to the internet, hair loss is a pretty common side-effect from having COVID. Some studies have shown that many people’s hair loss resolves itself, but others claimed it was ongoing. So, Drake is likely telling the truth when he says that his hair started growing in weird, post-COVID.
E! News notes that it’s not known when Drake had COVID, or how long he’s been recovering from it. The last time we were talking about Drake, he was renting out all of Dodgers Stadium to impress the woman he was rumored to be wooing, Johanna Leia, the mother of a Sierra Canyon High School basketball star named Amari Bailey. It’s great Drake is feeling better. But my thoughts go out to anyone who has ever been at a packed Sierra Canyon game and seen Drake sitting courtside. They’re probably anxiously wondering if that strange cough they had a few days later was Drake’s COVID or a stubborn popcorn kernel stuck in their throat.
