Mike Richards And Mayim Bialik Are Officially The New Hosts Of “Jeopardy!”

The correct question to the answer “these two people were just announced as the permanent hosts of the beloved television quiz show Jeopardy!” is “Who are HIM?! and HER?!As predicted, Jeopardy! executive producer Mike Richards has been named as Alex Trebek’s replacement, and fellow guest host Mayim Bialik will be hosting all of Jeopardy!’s primetime and spinoff series. Fan favorite LeVar Burton goes home with a lovely parting gift — walking away as a beloved icon with his dignity intact. Nobody could really replace Alex and you can’t get hit with rotten tomatoes if you exit stage left. And with this decision, people are already coming at Mike and Mayim and letting the fetid fruit fly!

This is the first time Jeopardy! has had more than one permanent host. And one of them is a lady we’ll maybe see a couple of times a year. This is what progress looks like. According to Deadline:

The search for new permanent host of Jeopardy! is officially over. The show’s executive producer Mike Richards has been named the new permanent host of the venerable syndicated game show, succeeding the late Alex Trebek. Additionally, Sony Pictures Television announced that The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik will host Jeopardy!’s primetime and spinoff series, including the upcoming Jeopardy! National College Championship set to air on ABC next year. The Greatest of All Time winner Ken Jennings will return as consulting producer for the show. All three served as guest hosts following Trebek’s death. Richards will remain executive producer on Jeopardy! — both the syndicated and primetime series — and Wheel Of Fortune.

I guess the producers of Jeopardy! decided that the multiple accusations of discrimination against Mike from models that worked with him on The Price is Right were no big deal. So that’s cool. And it was so long ago that Mayim wrote that ill-advised op-ed for The New York Times suggesting Harvey Weinstein’s victims could have avoided being sexually assaulted had they just avoided hotel rooms and casting couches, who can even remember. Here’s Blossom announcing the news on Twitter and, for what I’m sure are very good reasons, making sure we know her grandparents were immigrants.

And as you can see, folks received the news TOMATOES OUT!

Anyway, congratulations to these THEM?!
