Diane Keaton Paid Tribute To Her Favorite “Good Men” Including Mel Gibson

I don’t know what Diane Keaton has been smoking but I’d like to try some. Diane recently posted a short video on Instagram with the caption “GOOD MEN!” that’s just a series of potato quality B/W photos of male celebrities that scroll by as Diane serenades them with a breathy, meandering rendition of the song You’ll Never Know (How Much I Love You) made famous by Rosemary Clooney. Rosemary’s nephew George Clooney isn’t in the slide show, but you’ll never guess who is. See, what did I tell you? You’re wrong. She’s probably saving Woody Allen for part two. But belligerent, antisemitic racist Mel Gibson did make the cut! So yes, I do want a hit off whatever Diane’s having because going through life as a conscious, thinking person is proving to be a real fucking drag.

Here’s Diane’s post celebrating “the best men, the most wonderful actors I’ve worked with” yet somehow not including Keanu Reeves among them.

The Wrap reports:

There were several solid choices: Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty, Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Harrison Ford. However, in Keaton’s impressive gallery of former costars, one famous face stood out: Mel Gibson.

The pair worked together on the poorly received 1984 drama, “Mrs. Soffel,” in which Keaton plays a warden’s wife that falls for Gibson’s convict character and helps him escape from jail at the turn of the century.

The actor-director’s track record of antisemetic remarks dates back decades, with Winona Ryder making headlines as recent as last year after sharing an encounter with Gibson from 1996 in which he allegedly referred to her as a Jewish “oven dodger.”

And more recently, Mel was spotted at a UFC fight saluting former president Donald Trump. Many folks in Diane’s comments expressed concern at her pick but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. And the cause of deafness? Plugging both ears and singing “lalalala I can’t hear you!” Look, maybe Diane’s hat size has changed over the years without her noticing and her brain is being squeezed like a grape. Or maybe her hats have always been 3 sizes too small and that’s her secret. So note to self — Buy bigger hats, many of them, in teeny-tiny sizes.
