Kanye West Set Up A Countdown Clock For The Release Of “Donda” In His Room At The Stadium
Kanye West has swapped the L’eggs out for a full-body Balenciaga spiked gimp suit so you know what that means! If the basement bunker is a-rockin’ don’t come a-knockin’ because there’s some Mens At Work! Kanye set up a countdown clock above his cot in his sports stadium basement cell as he puts the finishing touches on his long-overdue 10th studio album Donda. That means that at midnight tonight, either Donda will be released on Apple Music, or the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta will explode. Buahaha! Who says a Christian Genius Billionaire can’t also be an EVIL Christian Genius Billionaire.
First, here’s a look at something that, on paper, shouldn’t make the blood in your veins run cold, but in reality, is extremely terrifying to behold. But is also hilarious? Kanye is an original, I’ll give him that.

It’s a well-known fact that some of the world’s greatest works of art came from cinder block rooms filled with men in para-military tactical gear! You should have seen the Sistine Chapel when Michelangelo first started working there. According to Complex:
Overnight, Apple Music launched a new livestream event and rolled out a rare in-app takeover ahead of the expected unveiling of Kanye West’s new album, Donda.
Indeed, around 1:00 a.m. ET, the streaming music provider shared a link to the exclusive livestream event, which—like its predecessor—is taking place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Notably, West was born in the Georgia capital. Within the app, “Kanye West Presents a Donda Event” is displayed prominently under a new Countdown to Donda tab.
Earlier into the stream, which was at first focused on what appears to be West’s living quarters inside the stadium with a countdown clock affixed to the wall, Chance the Rapper was seen stopping by. As of later Thursday morning, Vic Mensa was also seen on the stream. Other familiar faces thus far include Mike Dean (of course!), Steve Lacy, Fivio Foreign, and more.
At one point, a vocal mic was positioned above the bed that West was seen sitting in. Elsewhere, West was seen doing push-ups in a special Donda-emblazoned vest. As Apple Music has explained, audio for the stream has been “intentionally muted,” at least for now.
Donda, which features Jay-Z and Travis Scott, was originally supposed to come out on July 24, 2020. Then it was pushed to July 23, 2021. That obviously didn’t happen. And over the weekend, Kanye announced that it will finally come out today.
I do wonder though if Kanye could have better honored his mother by including even a single female artist on her namesake album instead of commemorating her with bespoke bulletproof vests. But hey, Kanye knows best!
