Original Fergie Defended Her Son-In-Law’s Yacht Trip Claiming He’s A “Superhero”

Don’t let anyone ever tell you that The Royals don’t pull their weight. They’re not all free-loaders, some of them actually have real jobs, thank you very much. And when you’re maybe not the most intelligent, best looking, or popular royal, having good honest work in the public sector is the best way to honor The Firm and show respect for the British public to whom you owe your position in life. That’s why some members of the Royal Family have called Princess Eugenie‘s husband Jack Brooksbanka superhero.” Unfortunately for Jack, it was Prince Andrew‘s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson who called him that. And historically, if Original Fergie’s praising you in the press, you’ve done something appalling. In Jack’s case, it was getting photographed partying on a yacht “surrounded by bikini-clad models” while your wife is home with your five-month-old son.

E! News reports that Fergie spoke up to defend Jack, who she calls “her James Bond,” while a guest on The One Show on BBC One. Jack was photographed earlier this week, doing exactly what you’d expect James Bond to be doing, but looking nothing like any iteration of James Bond anybody would pay to see, while on a work trip as a brand ambassador for Casamigos tequila.

In photos obtained by The Daily Mail, Jack was seen with three female friends boating and swimming in the Mediterranean. The 35-year-old royal spent Friday, July 30, drinking rosé and taking in the sights on the Italian coast ahead of the Unicef Summer Gala, which he attended as a brand ambassador for Casamigos tequila, a sponsor of the pricey ball, per the Mail.

However, it wasn’t what it looked like, according to Eugenie’s mom, Sarah.

“Jack, who was on the front page, is a man of such integrity,” Sarah said, per a video published by the Mail. “He’s just one of my most favorite people. I call him James Bond actually.”

The Duchess of York, 61, went on, “He’s just a superhero in my book, and he’s a great father, a fabulous husband, and he’s never at front of house, he always likes to be at the back.”

No wonder Fergie’s writing historical fantasy fiction now. What in the Upstairs/Downstairs meets Top Chef Restaurant Wars delusion is this? Honestly, her mind! I fully expect her next book to be called The Spy Who Came In From The Sitting Room. Fergie went on to explain how we’ve all got the wrong end of the stick when it comes to those pictures of Jack kicking it on a yacht surrounded by sundry tittays. He was in a very important business meeting!

She slammed fans that might be reading too much into his Capri photos. “So for them to make this story is completely fabricated, he works as an ambassador for Casamigos, and he was on doing his job, and so I think it’s really important that we clarify that for Jack’s sake,” Sarah added.

To be fair, Jack may have been passed over for a real ambassadorship by his grandmother-in-law THE QUEEN. If so it’s actually quite admirable that Jack never gave up on his dream.
