Kelly Clarkson Has To Pay Her Ex Brandon Blackstock Almost $200,000 A Month In Spousal And Child Support

In June 2020, Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from her husband of nearly seven years, Brandon Blackstock. Kelly eventually got primary physical custody of their kids–6-year-old daughter River Rose and 4-year-old son Remington Alexander. Kelly and Brandon both share joint physical and legal custody, but the kids will mostly live with her in Los Angeles after she argued that she and Brandon “have a difficult time co-parenting due to issues of trust between them.” But Brandon still wanted $436,000 a month in spousal and child support. He didn’t get it, but The Blast says he sure did get a lot. I think if you go to the bank it’s called a “Fuckton.” I’ll look it up, but Brandon will be sitting pretty with a fresh $200,000 each month is in bank account courtesy of his ex-wife. That’s right, Kelly Clarkson is paying out Dr.Dre types of money.

The Blast saw legal documents after a Los Angeles County Court judge issued an order on their divorce, and it showed that Kelly earns $1,583,617 A MONTH in income. That is a yearly income of almost $20 million. But being that loaded comes to bite you when you divorce and now Brandon has swooped in to score $150,000 a month plus extras:

Starting on April 1st, 2021, Kelly is required to pay Brandon $150,000 per month in spousal support. The documents state that Kelly will also “pay child support to (Brandon) for the benefit of the minor children, River Rose Blackstock, born June 12, 2014, and Remington Alexander Blackstock, born April 12, 2016, in the amount of $45,601 per month.”

In total, Kelly is ordered to pay her ex-husband $195,601 a month in support.

And listen, it sounds to me like Brandon is saying he’s retiring on Kelly’s dime to be a “rancher” because that’s straight up what the legal docs said:

The documents also reveal Brandon, who is the former stepson of country legend Reba McEntire, has decided to leave his career as a manager in the entertainment business and is deciding to pursue work as a rancher. Brandon “made a very deliberate choice to change his life and become a rancher full-time,” the documents state. His future career plans apparently include sponsoring rodeos and working the ranch.

Siri, play Behind These Hazel Eyes because you won’t get to see these tears Kelly’s crying over having to pay for her ex to “sponsor rodeos and work the ranch.” And don’t cry for Brandon’s clients either because he’s only got one left, it was Blake Shelton.

As for Brandon’s clients, who including longtime client Blake Shelton, the new documents reveal that Brandon “spends minimal time regarding his representation of his remaining client, Blake Shelton.”

Kelly did get one victory through all this. Kelly requested the court to let her sell their Montana Ranch, and they didn’t let her but Brandon was ordered to start covering the costs of the property:

At the time, it was agreed that Brandon would be “responsible for making the timely payments for the carrying cost of the Montana ranch, which included handling the mortgage, loans against the property, taxes, and insurance.” According to the documents, the expense totals around $81,000 per month.

Which he’ll now pay with her money… Oh, I guess it’s not a win after all. Also, she has to pay $1.25 million for Brandon’s legal fees.

This isn’t the end, though. Siri, play Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) because Kelly and Brandon still have to agree on a property settlement and a permanent financial settlement. They do have a prenup, which was reportedly signed in 2013 five days before the wedding. Brandon’s $200k a month is also temporary, and that number could change depending on how the rest of their divorce is divvied up.

Kelly is also still in a legal fight with Brandon and his father. Kelly used to be represented by Brandon’s father, Narvel Blackstock, as part of the company he owns with Brandon, Starstruck Management. At the end of last year, Starstruck sued Kelly for commissions they alleged she owed. In Kelly’s response, she accused Starstruck of defrauding her by charging her crazy high fees. Kelly also claimed Brandon isn’t even licensed to be a manager. Brandon denied all this and there hasn’t been a legal conclusion to either side’s accusations yet.

Well if Brandon never defrauded Kelly before then I think we could maybe call this a bamboozle, at the very least. I wonder if Kelly will talk about this on her show again by opening with her cover of Gucci Mane’s ROBBED dedicated to Brandon.
