When the Beyhive prays for some Beyoncé news, they probably expect the universe will reward them with a new album or new Ivy Park leggings collection. But here is some Beyoncé news that is hot, literally. A fire erupted at a historic mansion in New Orleans on Wednesday night, and sources close to police say that the fire was started intentionally. The owners of the home have not been identified, but all clues point to it being Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

TMZ says that first responders were called to the mansion in New Orleans’ Garden District around 6 pm on Wednesday. After two hours, the fire was finally extinguished. The fire was reportedly categorized as a 1-alarm fire, which is the base level for firefighters to respond to a fire. To compare and contrast, a 5-alarm fire will see 20 firetrucks at the scene. So this was very serious, but not 20 firetrucks serious. At least 22 firefighters were on the scene to extinguish the fire, and no one was hurt. Also, the thing that tipped the firefighters off? A working smoke alarm. Check those batteries!

Officers were called to the scene after a “suspicious person” was allegedly seen at the home. After a brief investigation, they determined that the fire was intentionally set, and was no accident. As for the house, the current condition isn’t yet known. It was built in 1925 as a church and has since been converted into a ballet school, then a three-story home with 26-foot ceilings, and three additional apartments on site. As you can see from this video taken at the scene, the mansion is still standing, but there’s definitely fire damage present.

And who will be paying to fix that fire damage? According to TMZ’s sleuthing, the bills bills bills should probably be sent to whatever home insurance company is used by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. via TMZ:

Curbed New Orleans reported back in 2015 the listed owner, Sugarcane Park LLC, shows its mailing address is the one for Bey’s management company, Parkwood Entertainment.

Back in 2015, NOLA.com also asked the question, “Who is Sugarcane Park LLC?” Beyoncé’s sister Solange has a home in New Orleans, and when the historic mansion was sold to the mysterious Sugarcane Park LLC, the address connected to it was that of Parkwood Entertainment. But this alleged revelation is good for somebody. Brad Pitt! Because I know that if I heard a celebrity-adjacent home in New Orleans caught on fire, I’d instantly think: “Yikes, the Make It Right company strikes again.
