Hayden Panettiere Was Seen Hanging Out With Her Ex Brian Hickerson, After He Was Released From Jail
Hayden Panettiere was once the co-star of Nashville, the co-star of Heroes, and the co-star of Bring It On 3. But recently, she’s been the co-star of an upsetting real-life Lifetime movie, that unfortunately continues to be happening in real-time. Not long after Hayden split from her longtime partner and father of their six-year-old daughter, Wladimir Klitschko, she hooked up with a real estate agent/actor/alleged abusive asshole named Brian Hickerson. Their relationship was bad news from the get-go, but things were looking up when Brian went to jail and Hayden was granted a restraining order. There’s a new bad news speed bump. Brian has been released from jail, and he’s been seen hanging out with Hayden again.
Hayden’s up and down nightmare roller-coaster relationship with Brian began on a high messy note and only got worse from there, with Brian getting arrested in May 2019 for allegedly attacking Hayden. Despite being charged with felony domestic abuse, Hayden stood by her man, and we heard rumors that his case was dismissed. Last year, Hayden reportedly iced Brian out for good, and had an active restraining order against him in her home state of California. Brian was set to go to trial, but in April 2021, he pleaded no contest.
Brian began a jail sentence on May 7th, after being sentenced to 45 days and is now out. Brian was recently seen enjoying himself at a restaurant in West Hollywood over the weekend, and among the friends joining him at his table was Hayden. That sighting probably raised the world’s supply of red flags. But Brian reached out to E! News to confirm that it’s not what it looks like. Hayden was just there as a supportive friend, helping a recently released-from-prison pal. via E! News:
“To clarify, I was enjoying a Miller ‘Latte’ [slang for Miller Lite], and Hayden was not drinking,” Brian says. “We went to a new restaurant that is Texas-based, and being a Southern guy, I’m a big fan of country music. So yes, there was some line dancing involved. Hayden and I are not back together but are working on a friendship.”
He continues, “We have a long history together, and the first step in my recovery as an abuser is making amends. That’s exactly what Hayden has been gracious enough to allow me to do.”
A source connected to Hayden tells TooFab that no one should be worried (too late, but go on), because she’s not getting close with him in that way,.
“Brian is in intensive therapy treatment,” the source tells TooFab. “She won’t forget what he did but she’s trying to forgive and move forward.” Our source added Hayden “is sober and doing very well.”
But, a source connected to Hayden spoke with E! News, and it sounds like Hayden might be entertaining the idea of getting back together with Brian.
“Hayden is open to forgiving Brian and starting a new chapter, despite her loved ones concerns,” according to the insider. “Hayden has a huge heart and wants to see the best in everyone.”
Hayden has publicly commented on the alleged abuse she experienced with Brian, specifically this Instagram statement she posted last year, which pretty much laid everything out.
As for Brian, I think his problem can be solved by Silicon Valley. Can someone in the tech world invent an app called Friendr, and connect Brian Hickerson with some new friends in his area? I don’t care if things are 100% platonic with Hayden. He needs to find someone else to go line dancing and have West Hollywood’s version of Texas BBQ with.
