Britney Spears’ Mom And Sister Each Posted Messages To Instagram In Response To Her Recent Court Win

Moms — There’s nothing quite like them. Some mom’s will move heaven and earth to help their children. And some will post illegible potato-quality bible verses and call it a day. Unfortunately for Britney Spears, Lynne Spears seems to be the latter kind of mom. According Us Weekly, both Lynne and Britney’s sister Jamie Lynn Spearstook to social media” in reaction to the news that Britney was finally allowed to choose her own attorney to represent her in her ongoing fight to contest the conservatorship she’s been existing under (“living” may be too strong a word) for the past 13 years. Lynne posted the aforementioned bible verse to Instagram and Jaime Lynn posted “cryptic quotes” to her Instagram stories. Still, it’s so heartwarming to see that Britney’s mom and sister have her back, or at the very least, have an internet connection.

Earlier this week, Judge Brenda Penny ruled that Britney was free to retain the services of former federal prosecutor Mathew Rosengart. Britney celebrated the victory by sharing a video of her doing cartwheels of joy at finally gaining a modicum of agency over her affairs. Her fans were ecstatic and enthusiastic in their support. Her mom and sister weren’t quite as effusive. Us reports:

Subtle shows of support. Britney Spears’ family members took to social media after the singer’s court win on Wednesday, July 14.

The 39-year-old Grammy winner’s mom, Lynne Spears, shared a bible verse via Instagram from the book of John. It read, “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.”

As for the Princess of Pop’s sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, she posted cryptic quotes via her Instagram Story on Wednesday. “Once you choose hope, anything’s possible,” one read, followed by, “Dear Lord, Can we end this bull shit once and for all. Amen.”

Cryptic indeed! Be specific. Which bullshit are we talking about? The conservarorship? Not being able to have the comments open on her Instagram posts anymore? Are we supposed to feel sorry for Jamie now too? I’m confused. But considering the fact that Britney implicated her entire family when she gave testimony about the horrific conditions of her conservatorship last month, it makes sense that neither Lynne or Jamie Lynn would want to say anything that might eventually be used against them in a court of law. But please tell me how posting this shit-stained looking bible meme is preferable to not saying anything at all.
