A TikToker Has Apologized For Bragging That They Had “Groomed” An Underage Millie Bobby Brown

17-year-old Millie Bobby Brown is best known as the star of Stranger Things, but she recently – and unwillingly – became the star of a TikTok video that could best be described as Shitty Things. A 21-year-old TikToker named Hunter Echo, whose real name is Hunter Ecimovic, decided to expose himself as a creep when he went on an Instagram Live and bragged about having groomed Millie Bobby Brown when he was an adult and she was 16 years old. And he laughed about intimate details of their relationship. Hunter Echo sounds like a supreme piece of shit, but he clearly doesn’t want to be an arrested piece of shit, so surprise surprise, he’s made a public apology and conveniently blamed it all on the alcohol.

According to The Daily Beast, this all started on Monday when Hunter decided to tell his 1.6 million followers about his rumored relationship with Millie, in response to some pictures that were posted of the two of them last year. Here are the pictures in question, and neither Hunter nor Millie ever technically confirmed they were in a relationship.

Hunter could have addressed the situation by saying, “Yes, why was I, a 20-year-old man, doing Biore blackhead nose strips with a 16-year-old girl. Yikes, I make poor decisions.” But he didn’t. Instead, when someone in his Instagram Live suggested he had groomed Millie, he winked and claimed that that’s exactly what he did. via The Daily Beast:

“Yeah, no I groomed her,” he said.

“Everything that I did was completely legal and it was approved by everybody that I was with,” Ecimovic said, before going on to make a series of lewd comments.

“She knew how to suck that dick,” he said at one point before laughing.

“I have nothing to apologize for, so make that clear. I have zero things to apologize for…I was living at Millie’s house for eight months…I thought her mum and dad knew about everything,” he said.

Somewhere, Drake just quickly deleted Millie Bobby Brown’s contact information from his phone.

Hunter’s admission is not good for a variety of reasons, but the most illegal being that in the state of California, where both Millie and Hunter live, the age of consent is 18. Millie’s reps released a statement about it, calling Hunter “dishonest,” his remarks “hateful,” and they claimed they would be taking action against him:

“Mr. Ecimovic’s remarks on social media are not only dishonest, but also are irresponsible, offensive and hateful. Instead of engaging in a public discourse with him through the press or on social media, we are taking action to ensure that he stops this behavior once and for all.”

Many on the internet probably would have been happy to see Hunter banished to The Upside Down, but Hunter hopped on TikTok and claimed that over the span of about two to three hours, he was getting progressively drunker, and the alcohol was making him say very stupid things. He claimed that it was a stupid idea to go live on Instagram while drunk, and he’s just so so sorry, everyone.

“I’m not proud at all of how I spoke. It sounded very immature, it looked horrible. It looked horrible on my family, it looked horrible on me, it looked horrible on my friends. I am sorry for doing that live stream, I should have ended it the moment it started getting bad. But I chose not to, I said what I said, and I can’t take that back. I just want you to know that I’m not OK with what I said. I’m not trying to justify it at all. I just want you guys to know that I’m not OK with how I went about stuff.”

So along with throwing booze under the bus, Hunter is also blaming the “negative” comments for antagonizing him into talking shit about an underage teenager. But the comments were just pointing out facts, like that Millie was literally two years under the age of consent when they allegedly got together, and that at 20, Hunter probably should have known better than to date someone who could be a high school sophomore. However, will Hunter crawl out of this hole he’s dug for himself, and help people to forget this whole mess? Maybe he’ll try to distract us with a new TikTok dance? I bet a remix of the To Catch a Predator end credits theme would be really catchy.
