Angelina Jolie And The Weeknd Were Seen At The Same Concert
There have been many versions of Angelina Jolie in her 46 years on this Earth (United Nations humanitarian, one-half of Brangelina, one-half of the never-ending divorce battle between the couple formerly known as Brangelina). But to many, one of the best Angelinas is the leather pants-on-the-red-carpet/26-inch goth black hair extensions-while-accepting-an-Oscar Angelina. The evergreen spirit of Weird-ish Angelina has popped out a little bit over the past few weeks. She was recently seen having a mysterious, random dinner with The Weeknd. Well, Angelina and The Weeknd are back at it again, and they’ve been seen together once more, thus forcing everyone to ask what in the Hell is going on between those two.
Not long after Angelina was seen having dinner with 31-year-old The Weeknd at Georgio Baldi in Los Angeles earlier this month, speculation arose as to what they could have possibly been doing at dinner together. Gossip options included but were not limited to: dating, Hollywood networking, bonding over a mutual love of Ethiopia. Many figured The Weeknd might be getting some acting tips from Angelina, as it was recently announced he would be producing, co-writing, and starring in the HBO cult-themed series The Idol. Just as many thought it could have been a date, due to the fact that they both allegedly slipped out the door separately, as not to be photographed together.
Page Six says that the Instagram rumor account @Deuxmoi was given a tip that Angelina and The Weeknd were seen at a private concert in Los Angeles over the weekend for Canadian singer Mustafa the Poet. But, in terms of salacious news, this isn’t a Code Red situation. The Weeknd was reportedly there with some friends, and Angelina was joined by two of her kids, 16-year-old Zahara and 15-year-old Shiloh.

Page Six reached out to reps for Angelina and The Weeknd, but they didn’t have any comment on the matter.
This latest sighting feels a whole lot less like a date and more like two people who recently made the transition from acquaintances to casual friends, who just so happened to be at the same concert. Because the presence of two of Angelina’s kids made this whole thing feel very platonic. Of course, that could be to throw everyone off the scent, in the event, they are actually secretly dating.
But there is another reason for why Angelina and The Weeknd keep getting spotted together. Angelina is currently trying to sell her stake in Chateau Miraval, the French winery she co-owns with Brad Pitt. It’s been reported that she’s got a buyer ready, but it’s always a good idea to have a backup, just in case things fall through. So maybe she’s been following The Weeknd around to see if he’d be interested in potentially opening his wallet? It wouldn’t take much for her to convince him that he would be a great Plan B. “I’ve listened to your albums, and a lot of the songs sound like they were written by an emotionally-vacant person who chugs bottles of wine while resting on the hood of a sports car. Now, imagine if you had an endless supply of sad man wine. The wine isn’t sad, per se, but it sure is making me mad to have to keep fighting with my ex-husband over it.”
