Kodak Black Pissed A Lot Of People Off By Tossing $100 Bills Into The Ocean

I have never taken a peek at Kodak Black’s financial statements, so I cannot say with absolute certainty that Kodak Black is rich. But if his recent behavior is any indication, then yes – Kodak Black is rich. Or at the very least, he’s rich enough to casually toss $100 bills into the ocean from the side of a boat. That kind of move sounds like a cry for help directed at financial guru Suze Orman, who would likely advise Kodak to keep his $100 bills in a medium-growth mutual fund, instead of in the ocean. Of course, the internet quickly came for Kodak, for wasting all that money, IF it was even real money.

According to Complex, the rapper and one-time Trump clemency recipient celebrated his 24th birthday this week, and the celebrations included a boat ride, the location of which is possibly Florida. There it is, the missing piece of the puzzle that makes it all make sense: Florida. Kodak Black grabbed a stack of cash and proceeded to scatter it into the water. He originally posted an Instagram video of himself throwing away money, but eventually deleted it, likely because of the backlash he got. But the internet saved the clip:

A little while later, Kodak Black tweeted a video of himself literally flushing money down the toilet (approximately $1000 worth). And just like his Instagram video from earlier, he deleted that too.

Internet sleuths estimate that Kodak Black dumped about $100,000 into the ocean. He may have done it over a feud with his protégé Jackboy. Jackboy for the most part has kind of stayed out of this messiness, while Kodak Black has been hissing that he made a million dollars off of Jackboy. So that might be why he’s able to so casually throw it away. But regardless of the reason, people were quick to point out that throwing away money (again, IF it’s even real money) like that is very, very dumb.

There’s also another level to this situation, which I’ve mentioned above. When Kodak was throwing cash into the ocean like Old Rose from Titanic throwing her blue diamond necklace into the ocean, the money might have been fake. A few years ago, Kodak admitted that he’s been known to pose on Instagram with prop money. If the money ends up being fake, then I feel terrible for the mermaid swimming around today, thinking it’s their lucky day, clutching a stack of cash, and wondering where the hell they can exchange US currency for shells, or whatever they use down there. But one thing is for sure: Kodak Black’s money toss was the absolute most redundant of gestures. What’s the point of making it rain on the ocean? It’s already very wet!
