Britney Spears Apologized To Fans For Pretending To Be Happy On Instagram

One day after Britney Spears’ heartbreaking testimony, she apologized to her fans in an Instagram post for misleading them by pretending to be happy on social media for the past two years. That means that in addition to nobody telling her she could petition the court to end her conservatorship at any time (allegedly), nobody told her that we’re all pretending to be happy on Instagram all the time (factually)!

Britney posted her apology alongside a quote attributed to Albert Einstein about fairy tales. And on her show yesterday, Wendy Williams brought the evil queen realness by declaring “death to all of them” while speaking about Britney’s parents Jamie and Lynne Spears. But first, here’s Britney apologizing unnecessarily for something we already knew from watching her haunted dance videos and unnerving Q&A sessions.

At any rate, the world is now collectively wishing for Britney to find all the happiness she’s been missing. Her boyfriend Sam Asghari sure seems to make her happy. He just posted a video on Instagram of the two of them on a plane headed for Hawaii while having a little fun with filters. Judging by her recent Instagram posts, it looks like they were returning from a vacation in Maui. The broccoli one, in particular, put a genuine smile on my face.

As for Wendy, she might actually be better off if she did a little more pretending. After hearing Britney’s testimony, many of us had unkind thoughts about the people who are responsible for her well-being. Only we said that shit under our breath. Wendy, on the other hand, might want to check outside her window for any black sedans with government plates. Page Six reports:

Wendy Williams went full Grim Reaper Thursday on Britney Spears’ parents in the wake of the singer’s withering testimony against her father Jamie Spears and her conservatorship.

While discussing the hot topic on her eponymous talk show, Williams asserted, “How dare you, Mr. Spears, you had me fooled. And you too, Mrs. Spears.

“Death to all of them,” she added, to the gasps of her audience.

Here’s Wendy adding several more pages to her CIA file.

Damn, where was Wendy’s producer with the fart noise button when she needed it? Back in February, Wendy said that she believed that Britney’s father was “a good man” and she’d heard “that she still needs to be controlled, and she needs to have someone that’s controlling her finances, and controlling who she is friends with and where she goes and what time she’s coming in.” Weird because I’ve said the same about Wendy, just not out loud. Oh, wait, shit! Where’s my fart button? In Britney’s testimony, she mentioned Paris Hilton and lamented that she didn’t initially believe Paris’ account of being abused in boarding school. And since it’s a rule of nature that if Paris’ name is mentioned in the press, she is compelled to respond. Here she is giving Brit a shout-out during a set she was DJ’ing last night.

It’s no David Guetta George Floyd tribute but I’ll take it.
