Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Of “Jersey Shore” Is Engaged To Saffire Matos
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was literally just arrested for domestic violence after his girlfriend Saffire Matos called the cops on him. Well, let’s put all that ancient roid-raging history behind us (it happened at the end of April) because these two are back on! So much so that Ronnie has popped the big question and they’re going to be walking down the aisle to Gym, Tan, Laundry for the rest of their days… or until they break up again.
Ronnie has a history of messy relationships. His last girlfriend, Jen Harley, was an absolute mess. She was arrested for domestic violence and he was arrested for kidnapping and got tased once. But if you watched the first season of Jersey Shore and saw what kind of romance Ronnie had with Samantha “Sammi Sweetheart” Giancola you’d know that Ronnie is no stranger to toxic relationships. He and Jen had a baby, 3-year-old Ariana Sky, but obviously didn’t work out and he’s been with Saffire since at least November 2020 when they went Instagram official. Well time to go courthouse-official because it’s wedding time!
Page Six says that this past Saturday, Ronnie, and Saffire became engaged. With the help of his daughter Ariana, Ronnie asked Saffire to marry him at a private picnic in Los Angeles. They both posted about it to their Instas:
They then celebrated the engagement by going to Disneyland with Ariana. A source told People that the couple is really doing well and Ronnie has been working on himself. He must have made a lot of progress in the eight weeks since he was arrested.
“Ronnie has been taking this time to work on himself and his daughter. They’re both really happy for this next chapter. His health and happiness are what is most important.”
Page Six says that since Ronnie was arrested in April his lawyer said he’s been getting help for his “psychological issues that he has ignored for a long time.” I think many of the cast, if not all of the Jersey Shore could use that same message. He also will not be appearing on the show for a while because it was messing with his mental health.
Maybe Ronnie should suggest such therapy to Jen who had a much different weekend. The same day Ronnie and Saffire got engaged, Jen was arrested in Las Vegas for -you guessed it–domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon. According to Us Weekly, her boyfriend, Joseph Ambrosole, called the cops at two in the morning and accused Jen of pulling a gun on him about an hour earlier. Her bail was set at $5,000.
Honestly, I think that Ronnie will actually be making his way back to the Jersey Shore sooner rather than later. Sure, he’s working on his psychological issues, but you know nothing cures a mental problem like a fully-sponsored, televised wedding.
