A Dog Bite To The Face Couldn’t Keep Ewan McGregor’s Daughter From A Movie Premiere

There are a few things you can expect to see at a movie premiere, like people who are famous or famous-adjacent, a carpet that may or may not be red, and people wearing expensive looks pulled by their stylist. At the Las Vegas premiere of the new film The Birthday Cake on Saturday night, Ewan McGregor’s 25-year-old daughter Clara McGregor showed up with a bunch of red blood on her nose and cheek. As it turns out, Clara got bit by a dog right before the premiere. Some people will do anything for free popcorn. Your dad has Star Wars money, Clara!

Unless you’re The Weeknd and your current vibe is fresh facial lacerations, most people probably wouldn’t walk a red carpet after a traumatic experience like a dog bite. But Clara, who co-produced the film (which also stars her dad Ewan), went and explained on Instagram that she pre-gamed the premiere at a nearby Emergency Room. via Instagram:

“When a dog bite lands you in the ER 30 mins before the red carpet😅 thank you @themobmuseum for having us, @thebirthdaycakemovie comes out in theaters and on VOD June 18th! ❤️ thank you @fendi for the suit”

I would remiss if I did not ask what kind of Las Vegas ER sends you out of the door with blood still dripping down your face?? Maybe the medical staff at the hospital spent 30 minutes unsure how to treat her situation and let her leave the same way she arrived. “Lady, we can treat a white tiger scratch, a fire burn from a magic show, a concussion from a tippy slot machine, or old-fashioned alcohol poisoning, but this so-called dog bite has us stumped.”

It’s not known whose dog bit Clara. A quick peek at her Instagram account shows that her boyfriend (and The Birthday Cake director) Jimmy Giannopoulos has a dog, so that pup might be the culprit. But none of us should be surprised that Clara got bit by a dog and still showed up to a film premiere. Clara is the one who cracked her knuckles and dragged Mary Elizabeth Winstead on social media after Mary and Ewan McGregor got together (which was around the same time he left his wife and Clara’s mom, Eve Mavrakis). Clara probably got nipped by that dog and said, “Is that it? I’ve gotten into messier fights on the internet.”
