Open Post: Hosted By The First Item From Kanye West’s Yeezy X Gap Collaboration (And It’s Already Sold Out)
Last year, Kanye West signed a 10-year-deal with The Gap because we, the people, deserve to have Kanye’s gorgeous designs (the opposite of that) at a lower price point. Kanye and The Gap both sharted out the first product in their collaboration and it’s something a Blue Man might wear during winter and it’s definitely something that the losing designer would come up with in a Project Runway challenge to make something out of old sleeping bags. But, of course, this oversized blue condom with arms still sold out in a matter of hours.
CNBC says that the blue nylon puffer jacket, which goes for $200, went on sale today for Kanye’s 44th birthday and supposedly sold out:
A $200 bright blue nylon puffer jacket was released on Tuesday in tandem with West’s 44th birthday. Shoppers were able to preorder the unisex coat, which will be shipped later this fall.
After only a few hours, the puffer jacker was already shown as sold out on Gap’s website. It’s unclear when additional items will be launched. The duo is likely using the jacket’s debut as a way to gauge consumer interest in the collaboration.
I mean… the lack of design is just sooooo developed here. This is like if the phrase: “Yes, give us nothing,” was manifested into a jacket. This looks like that vagina from “Blue Waffle” got pumped filled with collagen and turned into a jacket. But you can pair it with your Yeezy slides and look like a background character in a video game who wasn’t fully rendered with details because no one is supposed to look at you.
