Lorde’s Ass Trended After She Revealed The Artwork For Her Upcoming Single
The drought! It’s over! Lorde has officially left the “my new music is coming… soon” desert and announced an upcoming single entitled Solar Power. Poor Rihanna and Adele fans. Your time will come soon, sweet babies. Or, who knows? Maybe it won’t. Anywho! Lorde uploaded Solar Power’s cover art to her website yesterday, with the caption, “ARRIVING IN 2021 … PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE” The artwork shows 24-year-old Lorde on the beach, photographed from below, wearing a yellow shirt and a red thong that completely exposes her Kiwi derrière.
Here’s the artwork, which immediately starting trending on Twitter:

Solar Power is presumably the first single off Lorde’s upcoming third album, the title of which has yet to be released. All we know about this mystery album is that the title was inspired by her 2019 trip to Antarctica, she’s been working with Jack Antonoff again (they probably never dated post-Lena Dunham), and it’ll definitely be out before June 2022. That’s when Lorde’s scheduled to headline Barcelona Primavera Sound music festival.
Lorde’s last album, Melodrama, was released in March 2017, so it’s been more than four years since Lorde fans have received any new music from their Queen. The last couple of years she’s been laying low in her native New Zealand, and, as far as we know she’s still with her music executive boyfriend, 41-year-old Justin Warren.
In November 2019 Lorde sent an email newsletter to fans that announced she was postponing the release of her album due to the tragic death of her beloved dog Pearl (my cat died the very next week, so you bet your beach-ass this letter made me bawl):
.@lorde’s email today letting us know about her loss of her dog.
Take all the time you need Ella, and know our thoughts are with you. RIP dear Pearl pic.twitter.com/a3ubexUumh

Here’s my theory: the artwork for Solar Power is actually an ode to her dearly departed pup. After all, that was Pearl’s view for most of his little doggy life. Up mommy’s tush!
