The Only Winner Of The Logan Paul V. Floyd Mayweather Fight Was Both Of Their Bank Accounts
The Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul boxing match happened last night in Miami and as expected my assumptions were proven correct and this whole shenanigan was about two things: Money and Attention. 44-year-old Floyd, an undefeated, seasoned, retired fighter, did not knock out 26-year-old YouTuber Logan Paul, and Logan certainly didn’t even come close to doing the same to Floyd. So nobody won, and these two lasted the full eight rounds of fighting, creating a scene so attention-seeking and stupid that the crowd was literally booing them by the end of it. A practice I think maybe society should take on outside of just when these two are fighting each other. Just boo them all the time.
Since this fight was announced last April, it was pretty clear this shit was going to be a stunt. Especially at last month’s press event for the fight where Logan’s younger brother, 24-year-old Jake Paul, decided to participate in a pre-coordinated stunt took Floyd’s hat. The writing was on the wall and it read: Publicity Stunt. That became abundantly evident last night at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida as the fight wound up with no winner and no loser. Well, actually Logan and Floyd won because they both got millions (Logan reportedly got $20 million for the fight), and whoever paid money to watch this fight lost. But they lost a long time ago because they went out and paid money to watch this in the first place.
The New York Post says that Floyd was winning throughout the fight:
As the fight went on, it became clear that Mayweather was dominating, but the knockout blow that fans wanted never came. Mayweather is a notoriously defensive boxer and is not known for a strong knockout punch, while Paul lengthened the fight on numerous occasions by hugging Mayweather and forcing the referee to pull them apart.
It lasted eight rounds and the crowd reportedly was SICK AND TIRED by the end of it:
The fight wound down as a huge flop, with Mayweather continuing to box defensively, and the crowd started booing by the end.
People adds that after the fight, Floyd said he was surprised by Logan’s skills:
“I had fun. You gotta realize, I’m not 21 anymore, but it’s good to move around with these young guys, test my skills just to have some fun.” He added of Paul, “Great young fighter. Strong, tough. He’s better than I thought he was. … I was surprised by him tonight.”

Logan spilled more delusion saying:
“I don’t want anyone to tell me anything is impossible ever again. The fact that I’m in here with one of the greatest boxers of all time proves that the odds can be beat.”
Yeah, you too can hand Floyd Mayweather an obscene amount of money to punch the shit out of you without knocking you unconscious for street cred! Chase those dreams, kids!
Logan’s douche brother Jake, meanwhile, was lost in the sauce and while he watched the exhibition match kept saying that Logan was winning the fight, shouting comments like, “Two rounds to one… Three rounds to two. Logan’s up. Logan’s beating Floyd Mayweather, let that sink in.” Everyone around Jake was extremely confused by what he was saying because clearly, that was not the case, and comedy duo Desus and Mero, who did commentary for the broadcast, were heard telling him “you’re wrong” and “be quiet.”

After the fight, Jake still was living in a world where Floyd lost to Logan because Logan managed to stay conscious for eight rounds of getting his face rocked by Floyd’s fists. He even tweeted about it:

Fellow YouTuber, FaZe Sway, decided to burst Jake’s bubble and added a screenshot revealing that 40 percent of Floyd’s punches connected compared to 13 percent of Logan’s.

Honestly, I think this is great and I would like to see the YouTuber/TikTok/Influencer-industry pivot as a whole. I don’t want annoying people doing product placement for money anymore. I want annoying people getting beat up by professional fighters for money. That is an industry I can support!
