Alec And Hilaria Baldwin Are Getting Slammed For Their New Parenting Podcast

When the names Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin appear in a sentence with the word “slammed,” it seems perfectly reasonable to assume that it’s describing what takes place when Alec’s wriggling and spent but still mighty and bejeweled sperm wand bashes its way into Hilaria’s finely tuned and wildly contorted nether empire of a fetal assembly line.

Now, all of their usual, rabidly sparking flesh friction is certainly implied here, but today’s Baldwin slam dance is about the dragging these two are taking over their new parenting podcast, cheekily named What’s One More?

via Mercury News:

It’s hard to know what Alec and Hilaria Baldwin expected by announcing Thursday that they were launching a new podcast to share “honest conversations” about parenting and life, with the hope of inspiring “others to be better.”

It’s safe to say that the announced launch of their new “What’s One More?” podcast was met with massive amounts of online outrage and ridicule, even leading to the podcast’s Instagram page being taken down.

The Emmy-winning “30 Rock” star and his influencer wife have become increasingly controversial over the past few months over a number of issues, notably her bizarre but well-documented efforts to fake being a glamorous Spanish immigrant for more than a decade.

I’m pretty sure the only honest conversations those two ever have involved arguing in both English and Spanish over which beleaguered, day-shift nanny to send to the store on a diaper run, but let’s play along for a moment and pretend with them that Pepinogate never happened, that their honesty and integrity concerning Hilaria’s heritage aren’t in question, and, failing that, that the public is in dire need of a new, ear-assaulting damage-control tour designed to shamelessly lure back the sponsors Hilaria had lost when the accusations first came out that she was a lying liar pants about being Spanish. Mercury News continues:

Given the couple’s increasingly divisive public profile, the overriding question among people posting to the since-deleted Instagram page, and to iTunes and other social media: “Who on earth thought this was a good idea?”

The podcast is billed as focusing on “relationships, parenting, philanthropy and inspiring others to be better.” In a brief promo for the podcast, Hilaria Baldwin — no accent detectable — says, “We wanted to do this podcast where we have honest conversations about gratitude, inspiration, love and positivity.” The couple say their conversations will be with “friends, specialists, authors and doctors.”

People commenting on the podcast overwhelmingly lashed out at the couple for Hilaria Baldwin’s Spanish heritage scandal, with some people humorously asking: “Which accent will she use?”

Naturally, on hearing the news, Twitter’s critics did not disappoint:

Hilaria already co-hosted the Mom Brain podcast with Daphne Oz, but production was halted in late December after the heritage escándalo story broke. Clearly, she’s been saving up a lot of pithy parenting soundbites in the last six months to launch into everyone’s ears, and frothing, vengeance-seeking Alec is coming along for the ride in a show of performative solidarity. This is what you sign up for when you marry a shady pseudo-Spaniard, Alec! Suck it up.
